    2.8.0 Software Update

After the update, I noticed that the Drowsy Driver alert was turned off. I turned it back on and within a second it turned itself off again. Did this about 3x, then it stuck. I rebooted the infotainment as a precaution, and the Drowsy Driver alert had correctly stayed on.

That forum speculation was incorrect, the car has been using lidar all along.

    Gravity test drive

EVs are all different, like gas cars. The Air has a particularly heavy accelerator in my experience owning four other EVs. You get used to it. Remember, there's 600-800 horsepower under there. Lucid's laminated glass reduces cabin noise. It does not darken.

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Yes, you have to look for two or three open stalls at the end of a row, and park parallel to them. Best done when few other cars are around.

    Confusion with Tesla charging

In the phone app, it says that Plug n Charge is "Inactive".

    2.8.0 Software Update

Just tried Handsfree, and it worked great Really smooth. The only suggestion I'd make is that it's time to eliminate that extra turn signal blink after an automated lane change.

    Confusion with Tesla charging

Looks like I'd better do the same before our next road trip. Checking it once wasn't enough, it seems.

    Confusion with Tesla charging

Oh dear, I hope that Lucid didn't break the Tesla app's usefulness when they got their own app to work.

For example, you'd want to have a lower charging current limit at home, but not anywhere else. The Air's adjustable charging limit is only effective when close to the programmed location, e.g., home. Home =32 amp charging for example, and anywhere else = 80 amps max.

    Confusion with Tesla charging

Following the directions on the Tesla app worked great for me when I tried it. Use Tesla's app to select a stall, then plug in. Don't use Lucid's app at any point.

    Confusion with Tesla charging

It seems that the Lucid app now works for Tesla Supercharging, so you shouldn't need to use the Tesla app or your credit card via Tesla. As I understand it, you plug into a Supercharger, then you'll get some kind of notification from Lucid's app to select a charging stall number. Lucid handles...

    2.8.0 Software Update

I have the feeling that with this release, a lot of people will find they need to adjust their steering wheel downward. One of the Air's few ergonomic design glitches.

I also had the 0% red battery warning just after the update for a minute when my car was at 70%. I think it's normal after this update.

It doesn't to my knowledge. Can be useful at home, but you don't want it active at a public charging station. Hence the geofencing.

    2.8.0 Software Update

It's useful at home. Some people are using Lucid's mobile charging cable on a 14-50 receptacle, normally using a 50-amp breaker. But our national electrical code also allows a 40-amp breaker on this receptacle, so you'd need to reduce the car's charging current to 32 amps to avoid exceeding the...

It'll look slow for a long time, then finish. The progress percentage is a very rough indicator, primarily there to let you know that something is still happening.
