    Samsung/Android UI 7 Mobile Key Proximity Issues...Still?

My car unlocks about 80% of the time when my phone is nearby. The remaining time, I need to unlock my phone and open the Lucid app. Then the car notices my phone's proximity. Google Pixel 7 Pro XL, Android 16.

    HUD position adjustable?

My issue was with a large bright blue reflection from the optics, rather than a dark hole. It made me want to take off my sunglasses and clean them. I was much more comfortable driving after we'd covered the HUD with a cloth. Not something I could see myself getting used to. I really wanted the...

Lucid Air vs. BMW I4 E40

Thanks to so many saying "the sky is falling... it's a disaster!" on this forum

Lucid Air vs. BMW I4 E40

Fortunately, not everyone views the fob as a major problem. It's been fine for me.

    HUD position adjustable?

Same here, we threw the thoughtfully-provided cloth across the HUD for a more comfortable drive. I won't order the HUD unless it has improved by the time I'm ready to buy.

    What would you change?

Thank goodness for Gravity's black carpets though

NACS Adapter - I'm sure I'm doing something wrong

I wasn't sure exactly what you meant - the button on the bottom of the adapter is to release the NACS cable from the adapter, not to attach it. You just push the NACS plug into the adapter without pressing any buttons.

It would be useful to hear Lucid's view on this.

    Drive System Fault Megathread

Depending on the type of failure, there is advance warning, and a limp-home mode. Your particular car's issue must have been more severe.

    What would you change?

I was likely one of the voices that encouraged that decision after a bad DCFC charging experience at South Lake Tahoe - EA's DCFC initialization kept failing, the car's charge port door kept closing on me, and the car kept bluetooth-grabbing my phone calls to EA customer service as I was...

    What would you change?

Ah, I was talking about the charge port door. For the passenger doors, I didn't notice exactly how Gravity test drive car's were different than my Air's doors, except that they seemed more refined at closing.

Can't initiate update from Android app

The only think I could think of is to be certain the car is awake before trying to initiate the software update through the app. I do this by opening the app and waiting on its home page for updated car details to show up, then going to the software update page and initiating the update.

    What would you change?

Funny, the Air's auto-close door has been a regular annoyance for me. It's clunky and slow to open, and is always trying to auto-close just as I finally have the DC fast charger initiated and I'm ready to shove in the CCS cable. Our Volvo's simply manual charge port door is so much faster and...

Curb rash for stealth rims / black color touch up paint?

Has anyone tried a mobile wheel repair person with stealth wheels? They would be the ones to know if it's even possible.

    Gravity PPF & Ceramic Coating

Aero Wash Wax all works well for spot cleaning. In general I prefer it to ONR.

Can't initiate update from Android app

Sorry, no ideas here. It worked fine for me with a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL.

    Should I buy a GT

2025 GTs have significant improvements over your (and my) 2022. The phone-key issues haven't changed for me (Google Pixel phone), have to unlock the phone sometimes and restart the app. But the fob has always worked well.

One issue bugging me before I "click buy"

I have an order in, but it's Lunar Titanium, which may go into production in Q4.

One issue bugging me before I "click buy"

I'm counting on the San Jose service center to open as well. Lucid's website still says "Summer"- even if it's fall, you should be OK.
