    Dream Edition aiyoooo!

It varies from $14.4k to around $18.45k depending on the options you choose. All options are free on the DE, but cost varying amounts of money on the GT. The minimum spec that mirrors a DE is $121.45k, the max spec is $125.5k. (Please check my math, I may have missed an option.)

I think my final decision about upgrading comes down to the fact that they chose more power over more range for the DE. I'm OK with paying more for the upgrade if it comes earlier and if it doesn't detract from what I want in the car. Even if there was no change, I might have considered it. As...

    Dream Edition aiyoooo!

That is if you were already getting the larger wheels on your GT that had the lower range. It's a 67 mile hit due to option omission if you wanted the extra range and were ordering the base wheels which aren't available on the DE. And an 80 mile hit if you didn't want the extra 2 seats.

Also, how do those base wheels hold up to the extra power? Maybe they only allow the upgraded wheels because the base wheels with eco-tires were pushing their limits.

    Are we there yet?

And, within hours, DE is announced and emails sent out. Not exactly news of impending deliveries, but at least there's something moving in the fog.

I know that, I was speculating how much. Note that the range cost for 7 seats is higher if you have the upgraded wheels (21 mile loss vs 13) which means all of these numbers are relative. The best calculation I can do is 437 (GT with base wheels and 7 seats) minus 16 (DE penalty over loaded GT)...

    Dream Edition aiyoooo!

I have the invitation as well. Never owned a Lucid (own an, ahem, competitor model that I'm hoping to drop like a hot potato and time is ticking). I'm OK with the added price for what you get - still deciding if I'm willing to pay that much more, I can swing it, but do I really want to? I...

    Lease Deals are INSANELY GREAT

What is the term on these leases? Can you still get an "only until the Gravity is available" lease?

    Spotted in the Bay Area

Keep in mind the Gravity was slammed and the Escalade was on tippy-toes to exaggerate the difference, but you can still get a good idea from the picture. The picture with Kyle standing in front of it looks like a normal ride height so that is probably even more informative.

    Gravity Orders Discussion

I've had the "vegan leather alternative" in my Tesla for 8 years now, the ones with all of the many holes for "ventilation". I can't say for sure that it is the same material, but they feel the same. I eventually had the driver's seat show signs of abrasion after 7 years - apparently my 260lb...

My first drive of the Gravity

The Cybertruck has a squircle steering wheel which has a ring that goes all the way around. I think the prototypes originally showed a yoke like the plaid X/S, but for production they went with a squircle design like the Gravity.

My first drive of the Gravity

With a grain of salt as I haven't driven either a Tesla yoke or a squircle car, it seems that one of the biggest issues with a yoke (that I've imagined and also read about) is that there is a large section of the wheel where there is no ring to grab and that means either having to hunt around...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

I have 2 favorite charge+eat stops between Northern and Souther California. The Harris Ranch is on I5 where I can grab a steak meal while I charge to 100% on slow 150kw chargers. There is a new very large bank of 250kw chargers installed across the street now that grabs the attention of all of...

End of Road to Gravity. It’s time for Gravity on Road!!!

FWIW, my specialist from the Millbrae studio has reached out to me on a few occasions to provide me information that is already public knowledge, to ask me to provide information that I've already provided (and is indicated in my order with checkmarks and was additionally confirmed in person at...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I also don't like the black wheels for a different reason. I grew up in a world where cheap cars had steel wheels painted black, cars that wanted to appear nicer had the same wheels, but silvery hub caps that snapped over them, and cars that cared about handling came with alloy wheels painted...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

And every time I see a poorly designed EV I keep hearing echoes of "my friend had an EV and here is the unconscionable problem with it and why I'll never even think of owning one" comments I've heard over the years. If the Escalade is expensive to recharge then people in that segment will think...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I remember those too now, but none of them really speak to why limiting the deflection improves the feature.

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I'm not fond of these apples to oranges differences where the ride heights are set to exaggerate the differences. Minimally they should demonstrate low to low and high to high and maybe limit the low/high cross comparisons to "just for fun" after showing the apples/apples comparisons for...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I've seen that. Other than mentioning that Lucid did it right and that they have a small angle, he didn't really demonstrate or discuss why those 2 facts would be related. He implied that Lucid's system worked because it had a small angle, but there was no meat to that implication. The issue he...
