That LiDar message is precisely why it needs to be mounted behind the windshield or around the roofline. These LiDar units are really basic. Better LiDar is a couple of years away no matter what their manufacturers say. Look at the Volvo XE90 and that blimp above the roofline. Is that acceptable?

The canopy will burn your hand if parked in the Texas Sun. You would definitely want to tint it if you like your Car to be Cold. It’s the heat not the glare. Put your hand close to the canopy in the summer and you can feel the heat coming in.
