    Extended Warranty

This is a good example of why one can't compare how Lucid handles it to how Mercedes/BMW/Lexus etc. handle it. The latter all have local dealerships who can service the vehicles in most cities and there are third party repair shops that specialize in them as well. For those living in cities...

2025 California Auto Insurance Data Thread In DETAIL

I suspect that most Lucid owners have an umbrella insurance policy. Most, if not all of them, have a minimum automobile liability insurance requirement. If you have, or intend to have an umbrella policy, make sure your auto insurance meets the umbrella company's minimum requirements. Failure...

    Gravity; SUV or Minivan

I agree. A while back I was parked next to a Rivian SUV. I asked the driver if she liked her vehicle. To my surprise she said she hated it; it was way to harsh on city streets. I then asked her if she took it offroad and she said no. So she purchased an off road vehicle and doesn't like the...

    Lucid delivered my car damaged

I disagree. As far as the customer is concerned, it is Lucid's responsibility. Lucid sold the car and chose the delivery company. Yes...the delivery company may owe Lucid for the damage it caused but that is between the delivery company and Lucid. As far as the customer is concerned, it IS...

Adaptive Cruise - why does it require manual intervention from 0mph to resume driving in stop-and-go traffic

The way I see it the new fee is essentially a charge for the hardware. You are still gambling on it working in the future but you are not paying for the non existent future software. A very reasonable fee, IMO, for the Lidar alone.

Front & Rear Camera Views Doesn't look Even

I just checked my Genesis GV60P and it does exactly the same thing. I suspect that for some reason, all the camera systems do the same thing.

    Punching in...

My AI says that blind spot warnings are typically turned off in reverse. I have never noticed them when driving in reverse. When you go into reverse, you should have your camera displays if you have DDP but not necessarily BSW. BSW should work in drive; if it does not, you either have a...

    Will Lucid license Tesla FSD?

It wouldn't make any sense to me. Leaving aside FSD's safety issues, it is based on camera use only. Lucid's system is predicated on cameras, sensors and lidar. The conversion costs are probably as great as the creation cost for Lucid. VW invested $5 billion in Rivian for its use of and...

Lease return excess wear & tear

Hummh. Has anyone used a third party lessor for an Air and, if so, how has the return process gone? That might demonstrate whether the problem is B of A or Lucid.

Air #1 Seller of large luxury sedan in the U.S. for Q1’25

Wow. This is a great result. Outselling the EQS by such a large margin suggests that large EV sedan buyers are actually pretty intelligent (not just automatically buying the Mercedes for the name plate).

Driving to and staying in Las Vegas

You won't have a problem other than range. The heat will negatively impact your range but the car can handle it otherwise. Typically our heat here in Scottsdale is about 5 degrees greater than Las Vegas heat and the Lucids (and other EVs) do fine. BTW, I have spent a lot of time in Las Vegas...

Lucid Air Sapphire Is the Quickest Car We've Ever Tested, Toppling Porsche's Top Taycan

This guy can only run fast for a short time; a lot like some EVs that use up their torque early. 0-30 the Cheetah will likely win. After that, no contest.

less tech please ... give me instant knobs and switches

My definition of a luxury automobile is that it has buttons and switches for those features that I might want to adjust while driving. And I want them in the usual places (turn signal stalk on the left side of the steering wheel; seat buttons on side of seat; button to turn autohold on or off...

    DreamDrive Pro + Nav?

That is and should be a reasonable practice. Unfortunately, in my experience, using anything other than the closest setting tends to allow the practice you are describing of drivers jumping into your safe space. From my experience, you have two choices: either change to one space or accept...

    DreamDrive Pro + Nav?

That is unusual. Usually the cops give everyone a ten mile forbearance. There is one exception to that practice: the state has now marked out a few sections of highway as "safety zones" and they say they will strictly enforce the speed limit in those zones; it is almost an approval of the ten...

    New Lucid Air Pure

I have the chargepoint also. The fact that after the warranty expired, and after three eyars of ownership, the company still gave you a new one suggests that you might want to stay with Chargepoint. Why did your electrician refuse to install conduit? Mind did from the electric panel on one...

    DreamDrive Pro + Nav?

I don't know about New Jersey traffic but out here, driving a steady 74 would make you a slow driver and one who should remain in the right lane. When I have lots of time on a local trip, I will sometimes do what you do: set the ACC at 74 (speed limit is 65) and just cruise. But I do it in the...
