    Grand Touring Deliveries?

I heard basically the same thing from my delivery advisor on 11/15 when I locked our build. Also sent in insurance, driver license, and arranged at home delivery in Colorado.

Colder weather folks, what are you doing for wheels/tires?

Has anyone contacted Tirerack? In the past when they didn't have wheels for my specific vehicle, I called and they were able to give me several options that weren't on their website. I'll give them a call this week and see what they say.

    Grand Touring Production

We confirmed our AGT reservation on 11/15 and were contacted the next day by our delivery advisor.

Colder weather folks, what are you doing for wheels/tires?

I'm interested in the same. I selected the 21" wheels for our GT and live in Colorado. I asked about extra wheels available for purchase from my delivery advisor and they said Lucid will be launching an online parts / gear store shortly where you can buy extra wheels. Not sure if it will be up...

How are you financing your Lucid?

Bank of America is apparently partnered with Lucid to offer reasonable loan rates. I believe 2.19% for 72 months. https://promotions.bankofamerica.com/autoloans/lucid?sourceCode=Lucid&mktgCode=Lucid

0-100% Fast Charge Test (or Level 2 Test)

The saddest part for me is I want all EVs to succeed and replace ICE vehicles ASAP, but sometimes I feel like the misinformation within the EV community is almost worse than on the outside. We should all be thrilled to see new EV startups succeed and introduce new technology. We should also be...

0-100% Fast Charge Test (or Level 2 Test)

The debate has been settled. https://insideevs.com/news/551500/lucid-battery-size-charging-analysis/

    Mileage on first road trip

I might be in the minority here, but I've assumed a 500 mile EPA range was probably closer to 400 miles in the real world. There are a couple of regular road trips we make that are in the 250-325 mile range. The Lucid with 375-400 miles of range will allow us to complete these trips without a...

    Trade-in and Financing

Doesn't look like a very good deal. Grand Touring Lease 60 months $9730 down plus a $1999 acquisition fee $1820 per month No mention of the residual Compare this to a loan 72 month loan @ 3% $11730 down ($9730 down plus the $1999 acquisition fee) $1933 per month Neither include sales tax...

    Mileage on first road trip

What were the temperatures? Were you using a lot of heating or cooling? Also, if the car sat overnight unplugged, some EV's will use a lot of power in the morning after a cold soak to warm back up the battery. Especially if you precondition on the way to a Super Charger. As a reference, my...

    Lucid Technology

This was basically someone walking through the UI for their first time. Any new car is going to have a learning curve. For example he commented that it didn't show the arrival time when navigating to a destination, but it clearly showed an arrival time and time to destination on the upper...

    Lucid Technology

This is so true. If Lucid could pack a 134kWh battery into the Air and then charge it with essentially zero loses in 80 minutes, that by itself would be a massive breakthrough.

    Lucid Technology

Here is a great video from Bjorn highlighting charging loses. There is a combination of energy lost to heat, inefficiencies, and the car pulling power while charging to cool or heat the battery. So there is nothing wrong with the Lucid requiring 134kWh to fill a 118kWh battery. Is 13% loss...

    Touring model configuration

I asked my delivery advisor about changing my GT to a Dream and he said they weren’t accepting any more Dream orders.

    Lucid Technology

If it can add about 60% (300 miles) in 30 minutes at a 150kW station, that means a 30 minute break about every 4hrs of driving. That's perfect in my book. Honestly with three kids we will struggle to make it four hours between charges anyway.

    My Rivian reservation experience

We have been very happy with both. Not a single issue with the E-tron (delivered in 2019) and only a couple of software issues with the Taycan, but nothing that left me stranded. I think the E-tron might be the most underrated EV on sale today. It's possibly the quietest and nicest riding...

    My Rivian reservation experience

In addition to my Air Grand Touring reservation, I have an early reservation for a Launch Edition Rivian R1S (the SUV). I thought some of you might find it interesting to see the difference between Lucid and Rivian in terms of reservation experience and communication. I'm replacing my Taycan...

    Some odds and ends

If you have a chance, could you measure the width of the trunk? It potentially looks wide enough to fit shorter skis.
