Peter stated that the new, cost-efficient "Atlas" drivetrain could be used in Gravity in the future. Now I am worried that the sub-$80k version is going to have the "Atlas" drivetrain and---more importantly---won't be available until 2026 (together with the mid-size).

In response to an investor question, Peter Rawlinson just implied that there will not be a "reservation list," but rather a "pre-order list." He didn't say when, except that it would be at an "appropriate time."
