    Apple Car Play Button

Finally updated to version 2.6! My mood lighting is reliably functional now, and the audio system seems mildly improved... but there appears to be a button for Apple's Car Play software on the home screen of my glass cockpit panel. I'm quite sure it wasn't there prior to 2.6. Is everyone else on...

    How is the software?

Came from a PS2, the software in mine was horrendous in comparison to my experience with the AT thus far. There's something seriously wrong with the development practices going on at Polestar. I'd never experienced regression bugs as badly in any software, automotive or otherwise. I think you'll...

    Home Assistant Automations

This is SO cool, thanks for all the work on this! Ended up deploying an HAOS virtual machine. Getting the Lucid integrated into it was quite easy. I've got it tied to my RATGDO so the garage door opens when I turn onto my street, and the hall light comes on if it's dark out. Also neat to see a...

Discussion Invitation: I don't see it. I think they're wrong.

I couldn't disagree more. I'm bracing for the hate, but I don't see battery electric vehicles lasting more than another 10-15 years in the mainstream. All things considered, chemical batteries are a poor solution for energy storage in the context of personal transportation - they're heavy...

Successful UX 3.0 and we become a dual Lucid household

The fact that we're even talking about these things proves his (and by extension, his wife's) point. Normal users won't tolerate stuff like this, it doesn't matter that there's a simple solution. This is what made Apple a success in the mobile space, and that concept should be emulated if Lucid...

    Prospective New Owner

Getting rid of the trick hideaway display makes sense from a cost perspective, especially if they standardize on a single panel across multiple models. And I think the NACS port is pretty inevitable at this point.

DDPremium vs DDPro: how to spot?

The first thing I always notice is the sensor suite in the B pillars. My DD premium car does not have those, I believe that's a DD pro spec. DD pro also has Highway Assist (now called Drive Assist?) whereas DD premium only has adaptive cruise.

    Lucid Hammering my DNS Server

Has anyone experienced any sort of negative impact because of this behavior? I've got to imagine this is just the reality of owning a connected car, especially one that is under heavy development as the Air is. I'm thinking Lucid is collecting data from a random sampling of vehicles for...

    Lucid Hammering my DNS Server

That does seem like a lot of queries. I just checked mine, my AT has made ~23k requests over the past 7 days. Has your DNS server blocked any requests coming from the car? Maybe something's not able to connect and it's retrying. As far as data transfer, mine shows just 142mb uploaded in the...

    Proposed OTA Process Change...

I like this idea, kind of surprised Lucid doesn't already do this. On top of that, I'd propose a user testing program akin to Microsoft's Insiders program. Offer to discerning enthusiasts the option to install updates before the general populace, owners who wouldn't mind going through the 2.6.0...

The soft close doors are automatic, press the door lightly against the car and the mechanism should "suck" it in and latch.

    Soft close doors add on

I've heard others here saying their doors needed to be re-aligned with the body. If it's causing that much of a problem then I agree with segbrk, you should have Lucid take a look.

    Front end damage - Totalled!

Negotiating is always worth a shot, although I don't know if a lawyer will help much. Looking at the insurance auction yards I see ACVs for Tourings around the 60-65k mark. EVs depreciate like bricks in water unfortunately. Best of luck to you.

    Front end damage - Totalled!

I actually just went through this with my other car (a GMC pickup), totaled after a deer strike. Only three months old. Not sure if you leased your Air, but the lease agreement states that GAP coverage is included so even if your ACV is low you won't end up underwater. Not sure about finance deals.
