To be honest, I think what happened is that when you tried to cancel they were ok with you downgrading to the pure at the old pricing and they applied $300 from your touring to the pure. But your SA asked you not to disclose but you unintentionally did. Same happened to me but they are pushing...

The touring reservation is You should get all or nothing. You should get the full $1000 given item number 15 in the contract that some specs has changed after you confirmed the order. Your SA will push back but legally you should get a full refund.

So you should get $1000 back for the canceled touring. Unless you have just placed the pure order at the same time you canceled. ??

It would be funny if they delivered the fully loaded Pures before some of the early touring reservations that didn't opt for the full options.

I think the issue is the IRS definition of a binding agreement. A binding agreement according to the IRS has to have at least 5% of the price of the car as non-refundable deposit. So in our case with the 1k deposit not meeting the 5% rule so they may not accept it as a binding agreement.
