    In for a penny…

Yep. Will be drawing down 401k soon so a few losses won’t be so painful.

    In for a penny…

My little portfolio is a sea of red today so I figured “why not”? Still a believer in the technology and a Rawlinson fanboi and I’ve spent money in worse ways. :D If Gravity gains traction and gives off a halo for the lower cost model - there’s a chance it might work out. I hope Lucid is...

    In for a penny…

Doubled down at 2.20 Might be stupid but worst case LCID has got to have some value as a buyout. Fingers crossed!

    The terror capability of EVs.

@Cosmo Cruz - “Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t after you!” :D https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/android-malware-necro-infects-11-million-devices-via-google-play/ One reason I stick with Apple. Better control of this sort of problem. It is legitimately...

    The terror capability of EVs.

I’m sure everyone should agree that confirmation bias is a real thing. :) Like the OP - I am leery of how vulnerable we may be to cyberattack. Salt Typhoon - Chinese Hacking from WSJ. This should be a paywall free link...

    The terror capability of EVs.

Kind is scary to read how aggressively China is hacking our internet infrastructure. Re intelligence or lack therof - we have some aggressively stupid people we share the country with and some of them are proud that facts have no effect on their beliefs. “They’re eating the cats!!!” And...

Getting Started with Track Driving for a Novice / 20 vs 21 inch wheels

My pleasure. I've had a good amount of seat time in the area and it's a great spot for motorsports. If you really get into it I'd probably suggest a dedicated track car. For a track car - weight is really the enemy. Tough on brakes and really tough on tires.

Getting Started with Track Driving for a Novice / 20 vs 21 inch wheels

I can't speak with absolute certainty re: Lucid but tires are probably going to be a factor if you do a lot of track days with a Lucid. For that reason alone I'd probably go with 19" vs. 20/21s. :) Wheel/tire diameter is not really the ultimate determinant of grip. It's really the tread...

    Saudi Buyout Article

I'm inclined to agree. Continuing my knife catching act and just had an order execute to buy more at $2.32 today. Fingers crossed. :)

Lucid produced 1,728 vehicles and delivered 1,967 vehicles during this period

Put in another order today just for fun. If it drops to 2.32 I'll have a bunch more shares. Not too big to fail but definitely too cool to fail. :)

"Top Gear" lays it all out . . .

Great read! Love the S2000 driving, LeMons racing Lucid employees on the team being an S2000 driving 4xLeMons participant myself. :)

Does Lucid sell my driving data to third-party for auto insurance purposes?

Some of my track day buddies are using this: I have no personal experience with it though. I still have an ancient XT lap timer purely for lap times. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/trackaddict/id632355692

    LCID stock

hehe... there's a zero percent chance of that happening. She LOVES her car. Nori Green RX350 with the bamboo trimmed interior. And yes - 992 feels way more "grown up" vs. the 997 imo. I'd personally call it a GT vs. a full on sports car. LCID closed a little over $3.00 today. We'll see...

    LCID stock

I suppose you're right - I should actually *drive* one before writing it off completely but parking etc. is an issue as well. I like the idea of an EV for city use and we have the wifey's Lexus SUV for hauling stuff/dogs/people. If I end up with a Lucid I'd be replacing the S4 which is pretty...

    LCID stock

Hmmm.... where's the bottom? I'm hoping Lucid thrives. With that in mind I might double down and buy more shares soon in hopes they pull out of this tailspin. As far as driving a Lucid I'm holding out for a smaller form factor. Went to take another look at the Air and I love it all except...

Hertz selling off Teslas citing high repair costs and frequent damage

More background info from a CNN story: “[C]ollision and damage repairs on an EV can often run about twice that associated with a comparable combustion engine vehicle,” Hertz CEO Stephen Scherr said in a recent analyst call For rental car companies like Hertz, which sell lots of vehicles in the...

Hertz selling off Teslas citing high repair costs and frequent damage

hehe... drive it like you stole it is the rule for rental cars, eh? And nope - no interest in buying a rental - well maybe a GT350H would be the exception. I was under the impression that body repairs on Teslas are particularly spendy too. I bet you're spot on re: downtime. That has got to...
