    Air Headlight Specs

Hey All - I have looked extensively to try to find specs on our Air headlights . . . specifically the whiteness (5K, 6K, 6.5K ? ? ) and the lumens output 5000, 6000, etc ? ? I am asking because I have an old Jag (XJ6) and am considering a headlight upgrade to LED's designed in a special 7"...

    Wiper blade replacements

My Touring is a year old - haven't replaced the blades yet - they seem to be clearing as designed. That said, there is a design flaw (not uncommon) where the Drivers side blade flings excess washer fluid on the passenger side windshield, after the passenger side blade is most of the way down...

    Lucid OTA update 2.2.2

I worked at a Dutch Pantry (attached to a Holiday Inn) in Wilmington DE one summer when I was in college (circa 1983). Hope I don't spoil your recollections of this fine establishment, but most of the food was factory made, frozen in big plastic bags. We would drop the bags into a steam...

    Regenerative braking and range

Not unlike BMW making complex alternators and "smart" battery charging electronics that result in the aforementioned $700 battery replacement. Assuming a car battery last 7 years, what are the MPG gas savings and extended fuel savings for that 7 year period ? If I had to guess, probably...

    Regenerative braking and range

Chiming in on this thread because I have a peripheral question about coasting and neutral. First, from my 40+ years of ICE driving experience, I have always been a fan of utilizing neutral for improved gas mileage and (theoretically) reduced wear on parts of the ICE drivetrain. Started with...

    New Owner in WV....and question?

Welcome KCM ! ! curious where in WV are you located ? I am in Pittsburgh (duh, it's in my user name?) - so was curious if you are nearby. Seems there are now a dozen or so (guessing) Lucids in the area . . . but I have only seen 2 others in the last year. Anyways, congrats and welcome...

Has anyone tried to fit a guitar case in the trunk or frunk?

Standard Fender electric (deluxe hard shell) case (Strat / Tele) fits perfectly -flat across the rear (upper) trunk without putting the seats down. It's as if they designed the trunk to perfectly fit this guitar case !

Why America’s EV chargers keep breaking .... article on Politico website

My wife and I completed our first "road trip" - Pittsburgh -> Reading PA -> ShortHills NJ -> Rehobeth DE -> Pittsburgh . . . about 1100 miles over 5 days. We averaged 3.8 for the entire trip . . . Touring on 19's with the aero inserts in place, 70% highway at 70-80mph. My charging experience...

Just got your Air? Consider buying this stuff

I bought the 3D's in black for the Front seats only . . . I have a Touring and 3D has not yet developed a rear floor mat for the 92kW battery packs (deeper floor) for Pure and Touring Models. That said, when I put the drivers side mat in place of the factory carpet mats I noticed 2 things...

    DD Versions, Trial, and Upgrades

Apologies in advance for being a little lazy - because I should be able to answer these 2 questions with a quick test drive - but I am not in a position to do so at the moment. 1) If I forgo purchasing DDPro or DDpremium - I lose the driver display camera view that comes up when signaling...

Hot tip for iphone key and washing your car

Dumb question . . . so wouldn't the "phone as a key" issue only occur if you have the ap open on your phone ? In other words, by simply not having the ap open, would that not stop it from unlocking and locking the doors ?

    Clunking creaking sound while driving

Also had a similar situation - a rattle from the left front suspension, which was most noticeable on rough pavement when making gentle right turns (partially loading left side suspension). Remote service tech (Andy) came out and found a nut on the left tie-rod end loose. Tightened it up and...

knocking sound above drivers front wheel well

Having same symptom left front suspension "rattle" - noticeable over rough pavement when suspension is working harder and most noticeable on right hand curves (when left side suspension is partially loaded). Remote service responded relatively quickly last Thursday (< 24 hrs from my call )...

Warmer weather making a difference already...

Jumping away from the efficiency discussion . . . I seem to be experiencing a (10-20% by seat of pants) drop in power in the "non-sprint" modes. The full throttle push in the back seems a bit muted. Don't know if it's the warmer weather (ie does the software change power availability under...

    My first EA charging experience

SUCCESS ! ! ! So when EA told me the Cranberry PA station would be down until June - the were dead wrong. Less than 2 weeks after my visiting the "under construction" station, it was reopened. I knew this by searching for it on Plug Share ap where a number of people had commented on their...

    Finally Got Our Touring!

Hey Gizmo . . . . you and I (and probably some decent % of newer LUCID owners) went through the same angst in decision making. Way more $$ than I could reasonably justify, but then again, sometimes reason has to be argued with ! I also made the upgrade from Pure to Touring because of the...

    Fan and Temperature Buttons

Absolutely experiencing the same thing . . . under certain sun / angle conditions, the reflection off these buttons can be blinding. Less than 300 miles on my car and experienced twice . . . and Pittsburgh has less sunshine than any other city in the US (except Seattle, ha ha !). I will...

Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

This note is for any Pennsylvania residents who have just taken delivery or are expecting delivery soon . . . I took delivery March 28 (no swag, ) and waited a couple of weeks before asking "Any idea when the title/paperwork is coming ?" and noting to the DA that I'm certain there is a...
