Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

The range of BLE is basically identical to standard Bluetooth. Air’s BLE key range is actually pretty good, but what they (and other BLE key makers) have done is try to use signal strength to determine distance between the car and fob/phone so it doesn’t auto-unlock when you’re too far away. If...

    New Lucid Air Delivered Today

Same here, I have heard VA is much quicker about registration than especially NJ and NY though.

    New Lucid Air Delivered Today

When I had to deal with my lease registration calling Lucid Financial Services actually turned out to be the quickest way to get results. They had answers directly, everyone else I was talking to was just forwarding questions on.

    Gravity accessories slowly appearing

Even if not 80A, hardwired is just safer. One less “moving” part to wear down and potentially cause overheating or arcing. Plus new code in the US requires a GFCI breaker for EVSE receptacles which, since EVSEs always include their own GFCI, can cause nuisance trips.

    Locked Out

Why is it that you seem to reliably show up just to feed negativity? Have you considered contributing anything of value, rather than just dropping in with some insults out of nowhere twice a day?

Connected Home Charger - Speed Decreasing on 100A Circuit

Sorry, I don't mean to say it isn't a useful number for something, just that it isn't enough information to see if there is a problem without that extra context. If you're getting 11kW on all of them, you're good, your charging setup is working as designed. Why the mi/hr figure is lower is a...

Connected Home Charger - Speed Decreasing on 100A Circuit

Comparing mi/hr isn't super useful between trims and model years since it's based on the EPA figure which is different for each one and even depends on your wheels/tires. 11kW is expected from a 60A breaker: 60 x 0.80 for continuous use = 48A usable. 48A x 240V = 11,520W.

Volume decreases for 5-10 seconds with volume control unresponsive...then goes back to normal.

In that case all I can suggest is trying that phone in a different car, and/or no phone connected in your Air. My strong suspicion is still that the car is just doing what the phone tells it to do (for some reason), so it'd be helpful to confirm that.

CarPlay Ultra, the next generation of CarPlay, begins rolling out today

That's on Apple unfortunately. Apple requires CarPlay to be displayed on the upper screen. Apple has access to the whole curved area and iOS is what draws the wavy lights background, iOS just doesn't support anything but a rectangular screen for apps. My hope is they'll be a little bit more...

Volume decreases for 5-10 seconds with volume control unresponsive...then goes back to normal.

Multiple nav apps on my phone do this to me as well. I have them all muted, can't stand voice instructions, but they still sometimes pause the music where there would be a voice instruction just to say nothing.

Can we program the Valet Card?

Your card and fobs will continue working after a factory reset, those are all paired at the factory. All you're doing with your fob is associating it with your profile, and the cards don't do that. You're all good.

    Home Assistant Automations

After poking at it a bit this weekend, I don't think it is currently possible to control proximity unlocking remotely. Hopefully that's added in the future.

    OTA Update 2.6.16

Remote app controls are always via “the cloud.” So the only thing it sounds like isn’t working is the wakeup request, which is an SMS from Lucid to your car. If a car reset doesn’t fix it check with service, as I haven’t heard that particular issue from this update before.

Call and let them know the warning went away. They can pull logs remotely and should be able to give you an answer.

I haven't lived with PurLuxe, but it is really soft and nice to touch. Both colors are great.

    2026 Predictions for Lucid Air

NACS would take a pretty significant redesign, more to move the charge port and wiring to the back than anything else. I wouldn't be shocked if that happens this year, but given the amount of attention on Gravity and work no doubt ramping up on Midsize I also wouldn't be surprised if the '26 Air...

[RESOLVED BY OTA 2.7.0] Car won’t go into DRIVE !

Interesting. Still wonder if unlocking would make any difference, because I think unlock wakes the car more than cooling does. Could be wrong.

CarPlay disables native car audio when an iPhone app is open and you scroll.

Pretty sure this is on the phone, not a car issue. The phone has the ability to pause or mute the car's audio temporarily to e.g. deliver a navigation update or notification. I don't know why Yelp would be doing this unless it's trying to play an ad or something, but regardless, if the phone is...

    First Dream Edition Delivery!

I don't think anybody sees that as a need, it's a want haha Yes, the Touring and Pure will no doubt be more than enough power for most people. The GT exists for range and the Dream exists for fun and bragging rights.
