    Grand Touring Tracker (Archive)

Everyone has to make their own decisions, but I wouldn’t take delivery of a car with the wrong color combo. I’d go back in line and wait for the right one. I know myself, 6 months after accepting the wrong color combo I’d be angry with myself for not standing up for the color combo I’d...

    Grand Touring Tracker (Archive)

I called the Riviera Beach service center this morning to see whether my car has arrived. I suggested it might be the first or one of the first Grey cars to arrive there. Sadly, I was told my car wasn’t there yet, but I was told they already had a couple of Grey cars there. So, Grey cars are...

    Average mi/kwh

Again, you're wrong. All vehicles that get fuel economy ratings, whether fueled by gasoline, diesel, or electrons, are tested on dynamometers. And all vehicles use coast down testing as part of the process of determining the load that the dynamometer places on the vehicle during each test...

    Average mi/kwh

I hate to correct you again, because I like to be a positive guy on the internet, but you are wrong. The aerodynamic drag of a vehicle is considered in the EPA dynamometer test. Typically, it is measured by "coasting down" a vehicle in neutral from highway speed to low speed (I believe from...

    Average mi/kwh

Yes, the EPA test is done on a dynamometer. However, aerodynamic drag definitely is considered. Estimated aerodynamic drag for a vehicle affects the load settings on the dynamometer.

    Feedback/improvements for the Air!

Felipe is my DA, too. Really excellent. Literally every time I’ve called him he’s answered the phone. I’ve never had to wait for a callback. And he’s always been straightforward and easy to talk to.

    Favorite Screen Cloth?

I just use a soft white cotton rag (an old white T shirt is fine) and distilled water. A lot of people like microfiber, but I’m old school and just prefer cotton. Oh, and don't use any type of fabric softener on the cotton rag.

I suggested to my DA that, instead of Lucid giving swag to future owners, the company should just give people a gift certificate to the Lucid Store. He said he thought that was a good idea. Then people could pick what they wanted.

I think my "pencils to VIN date" was about three months!

    Grand Touring Tracker (Archive)

Well, 5 days from VIN to shipping, not delivery. That would have been awesome! Maybe my car is one of the first Grey cars (for better or worse). It was supposed to go to another customer who cancelled. I don't know that other customer's confirmation date, but he or she may have had one of...

    Grand Touring Tracker (Archive)

I just talked to my DA, and he said my Grey-Tahoe GT was shipped yesterday (May 11) from the Casa Grande factory to the Riviera Beach, Florida service center. He said the car would arrive at the service center in the next 3-4 days, and that subsequent pre-delivery inspection process would be...

    Just took delivery

Wasn't that an issue with the Comfort Braking setting? I also thought that was deleted several firmware versions ago.

    Just took delivery

I don't understand this at all. I would think if all automated driving settings are disabled, there'd be no restrictions on parking the Lucid. Something definitely is odd here. I don't remember any other owners saying their Lucids wouldn't let them park it in their garages!

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me, but I'm just wondering why @ctonylee said he was considering installing an aftermarket SiriusXM setup, but was advised by a Lucid employee "not to do that," that the lack of SiriusXM was "the number one complaint," that that a SirusXM app would be "in the next...

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

I agree wholeheartedly with you, but I'm also wondering whether there actually is a satellite radio antenna in one of the roof panels, but its functionality hasn't been activated yet. However, if this were true, you'd think that, like CarPlay, Lucid would say it is "coming."

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

To my knowledge, no one on this forum has ever got the complete accurate story about the lack of SiriusXM on the Air. One SA I talked to said the car couldn't have Sirius XM due to the glass roof. Yet, there seem to be add-on aftermarket Sirius antennas that should work if installed. I'm...

    Insurance Megathread

Since I received my GT VIN, I've been checking around with different insurance companies for my location in east central Florida. I will only drive the car about 6,000 miles per year, but it will be my primary car. Rate quotes have generally been in the range of $1200-1600 per year. I...

    What to Buy?

If you don’t want to use your phone’s data plan, you can download SiriusXM shows to your phone when you’re on Wi-Fi at home and then stream them from your phone to the Lucid audio system using Bluetooth.

    What to Buy?

I’ve never heard SiriusXM is coming, nor have I ever heard an explanation from Lucid as to why the car doesn’t have it. One SA I talked to claimed it was because of the glass roof, but I’m not convinced of that. The car must have a GPS satellite antenna, so why not satellite SiriusXM?

I just got the same email. Nice to know Lucid won’t raise the price of my car after I got my VIN!
