I think Lucid has been incredibly aggressive with the rollout of new features and bug fixes. Since my AGT was delivered with version 1.2.1, I can say with conviction that the updates have been frequent and meaningful.
I agree with you. However, Tesla has been beta testing full self-driving- and charging a lot extra for it- for many years. I don't think Lucid should simply eliminate the immature and not-so-useful Lucid assistant. Why? Because it checks a box. Almost all cars have a voice assistant of some sort...
I agree with you that the Lucid Assistant in its current form is immature. You can always turn it off. That is a setting that is user accessible. I keep it on and "play" with it now and then to see how it's doing. But for anything meaningful I go with "Hey, Siri" and CarPlay.
I asked the Lucid Assistant, "Hey Lucid, what is the weather?" The answer said it could not respond because "location services were not activated" and that I would have to specify a city for the weather. Does anyone know how to turn on location services? It seems reasonable that the Lucid...
Politicians get insulted every day. It's the cost of being a politician. But Sen Kelly can drive whatever he wants to for whatever reason. I hope he purchases a Lucid Air (or Gravity).
As a fellow Arizonan, I agree that our Senator should proudly buy a Lucid. However, car purchasing decisions based upon politics are silly. Honestly, he should have just kept the American-made Telsa if he liked it.
I agree with you. There will be some anti-Elon crossover to Lucid. But Lucid will succeed in the long run if the PIF continues to fund until profitability. I suspect they will and have bought a lot of shares under that assumption. Also I love my Air GT. Best car I have owned.
I have had no mechanical issues with my 2022 Air GT, which was delivered in May 2022. Now with 48,000 miles. I found the car remarkably reliable for the first model from a new car company. Great job, Lucid.
Welcome! As a Tesla and Lucid owner, I agree. The Lucid is a much better engineered and “solid” nicer handling ride. My Lucid grip is the same that many have said and that’s the occasional issues with delay in unlocking when you walk up to the car. But it’s minor.
I agree that the Rowlinson departure does not appear to be for cause. I suspect they would have to disclose that anyway. He is also staying on as an advisor — but only to the Chair of the Board, not the company. It’s peculiar. Would have been nice if Peter were present on the earnings call to...
We could debate the Jobs and Peter comparison. But let us just agree to disagree. I think that Peter is a "key man" to Lucid. I am very bullish on Lucid, but why is the target for 2025 only 20,000 vehicles? Yes, that's double 2024. However, if Air sales are flat at 10K (not good...), that leaves...
Yes, that is great. Thank you for pointing this out. I looked at his bio on the Lucid website. They promoted him to SVP of Powertrain on 2/13/25. Just a guess, but it probably coincides with when the Board was deciding about Peter's exit.
Lucid has strong leadership skills and can build and sell cars as Toyota and GM do. However, they have now lost their visionary genius engineer who will help them innovate and stay ahead of Toyota and GM in the EV technology industry. Who is going to take the future Lucid vehicles to the holy...
Lucid without Peter is not Lucid. Lucid only has a chance by having superior technology with key man Peter driving that technology. I agree with BoA. Peter is a "key man" to Lucid. Just like Steve Jobs was a "key man" to Apple in the 1990's when the Board fired him. How did that work out for...
Lucid without Peter is going to have difficulty innovating in my opinion. Look at Tesla. After Peter Rowlinson left Tesla, Tesla has not had any major breakthrough innovations. They are still using the same bulky motors from the Model S developed by Peter. My hope is that the PIF leadership and...
