Worst New Car Ownership/Customer Experience Ever

I have been a Hertz Gold member for years. Hertz is generally good with customer service. If I had a Hertz rental with these issues, I would simply drive it back to Hertz at the nearest airport and they would swap it out. No need to endure pot odors in the car. Often when I take my Porsche in...

Worst New Car Ownership/Customer Experience Ever

I am 12,800 in and zero issues. Have never been back to the Scottsdale delivery center since I drove off with my new Air GT. Not saying this to gloat on those having issues, but just trying to provide balance and perspective. I hope that Lucid fixes any issues quickly and to the owners satisfaction.

BMW CEO declares its EVs will soon be the ‘benchmark’ in charging, range, and pricing

Solid batteries are no where near ready for use in EVs. BMW has invested in $SLDP. I also own shares in them. Probably 10 years or more before usable in EVs.

BMW CEO declares its EVs will soon be the ‘benchmark’ in charging, range, and pricing

As the article says... "Show, don't tell." BMW lags behind Lucid and Tesla. I expect that they will stay there.

    2.0.48

Perhaps there are differences. I have never had any serious camera issue. Just sometimes comes up more slowly than I would like. But I have not experienced the issues described.

    Hello from Southern CA

You will find this forum to be a great resource. I am now at 12,800 miles and have not been back to the service/delivery center since I took delivery.

    Lucid Production

Yes one of my business partners who likes my Air GT so I suggested he go for a test drive at the Scottsdale Arizona studio. The Lucid person with him on the drive told him they’re made in AZ. My partner was surprised he did not know that.

    Pure owner review

Great review. Thank you for it. I know folks considering Pure and am glad to see what a great car it is for the price. Don’t worry about the miles per kWH. You have plenty of battery. Glad the Pure retains so much of the GT based upon your impressions.

How many max miles on your tires?

I'm at 12,400 miles and remarkably there is almost no tread wear at all. I have the 19". I keep the tires at 50 psi.

I Thought This Is A Lucid "Owners" Forum??

I favor a verified owners badge. Simply private message a moderator with a screen shot of your Lucid app with a VIN. Keep a private list of the VINs in case someone tries to spoof or duplicate to get a badge.

    Lucid Production

“Lucid said in a statement that it produced 3,493 vehicles at its Arizona factory in the fourth quarter and delivered 1,932, bumping its total production to 7,180 for the full year. Lucid's fourth-quarter production total was up 53% from the third quarter, when it produced 2,282 Air sedans and...

Ordering and Delivery: Lucid Air Touring

Thank you moderators for doing all of this work. It is a GOOD thing that the ramping up of deliveries has made it too much to track in this labor intensive fashion. @Bobby what do you mean by saying that "now that Lucid has their online tracking system..."? Is Lucid making delivery numbers...

[RESOLVED] Yikes! at 107 Miles and now - what seems like a significant system meltdown on my new Air.

My guess is that loaners will be Pure. But will not have many until Q1 2023.

    2.0.47

They probably should have updated you by now. I would text them and they will likely push it to you. I have had it for several days.

I have not had these problems with 2.0.47. Strange.

    A bullish article. Imagine that?

Exactly. Lucid could not start with a high volume car while building out the AMP-1 expansion. In a few years that expanded factory will be cranking out three different platforms (Air, Gravity SUV and yet unnamed Model 3 killer — Lucid Cloud?) all in multiple trims. Going to be amazing.

For those who think there's tiny market for expensive & luxury EVs

I had an early deposit on the Taycan when it was still known as the "Mission E". I am also a Porsche fanboy having had three (still have one). But when the final car was released with abysmal range and efficiency in terms of mi/kWh as well as the cramped interior I cancelled my order and got my...

    A bullish article. Imagine that?

Well said… I remain bullish… “This is the most impressive confluence of talent in the EV industry outside of Tesla. And it’s not even close. Lucid Motors’ management team stacks up equally to the titan. And considering the current trend of Tesla losing talent and Lucid Motors gaining it, the...
