    New IOS Mobile App 2.0

Same. Likely for the majority of us. But for those who do run into bugs, it’s super frustrating. Both for them and the developers. This is why good bug reporting is so valuable. Even though it can seem like a thankless exercise. It really does help to fix these things.

    New IOS Mobile App 2.0

The new app isn’t even showing up on my list of apps using battery. So, less than 1%? The app should be using nowhere near 8%, unless you are actually opening it and using it a lot.

    CARPLAY

I’ve had almost zero issues with CarPlay for the past year or more. I also turned off WiFi in the car and never looked back. I can’t prove one has anything to do with the other. But I can recommend at least trying to go without WiFi in the car. It makes no difference in OTA downloads, as far...

Tired of lack of Android support

Lucid has been shipping cars for about three years now. What other companies have been doing is irrelevant. None of their work lessens what Lucid needs to do in order to ship Android support. Ideally all platforms would be supported by now. Nothing about Lucid’s software journey thus far has...

Tired of lack of Android support

As far as I can tell, part of the deal with choosing Android is dealing with the fact that a lot of companies don't prioritize Android. Maybe that sucks, but at some point you have to accept that's part of the choice. Just as not being able to sideload any old app I find on the internet is part...

Tired of lack of Android support

What you seem to want is to be able to express your assumptions as fact, and then have others who actually have inside information that directly contradicts those assumptions stand by and not correct the record. That's not what this forum is about. There are thousands of other places on the...

Tired of lack of Android support

The "old" version of the mobile app has no concept of what a "Gravity" is. If you look at the design of the old app, you'll see it would be some effort to accommodate a Gravity into that old design, given the differences with Gravity. Button layout, etc. would all need to be changed. Thus the...

    New IOS Mobile App 2.0

Keep in mind, there will be lots more buttons over time. Endlessly adding them to a giant grid is lazy UX.

You actually use those buttons? I have tapped the horn and lights buttons exactly zero times. The last thing we need is a wall of buttons. Pick the few you actually need. Hide the rest. Makes perfect sense to me.

    New IOS Mobile App 2.0

Not really. My referral points have nothing to do with the car. Changing my avatar has nothing to do with the car. Planning out a road trip or finding a charging station has nothing to do with controlling my car. And so on. I think the organization of tasks makes sense. I just don’t know...

    New IOS Mobile App 2.0

I like the widgets, though, because they convey useful information without tapping in. my climate widget, for instance, is blue right now because my cabin is below 55 degrees. If I were in Arizona and the cabin temp were in the 100s, the widget would be red. And the top big widget completely...

    New IOS Mobile App 2.0

Honestly for me, they could have kept all the account stuff as a button on the top right nav bar, and then eliminated the tab bar altogether. The maps tab is fairly useless to me. But my understanding is they plan to add more trip planning features to that in the future. And I’m sure some...

    New IOS Mobile App 2.0

All kidding aside, I agree that reordering the tiles will make things better. But that’s coming. Along with seat heat controls, which has been on my top request list forever. Overall, the app offers way more useful information at a glance, and that’s a big win.

    New IOS Mobile App 2.0

You all are missing my favorite two features of the new app. 1) The bear icon is 1000X better than the L. 2) We can swipe to go back. FINALLY. I’m easy to please.

Clicking sound from under the car in cold weather

I never had my handles stick, but my frunk did get frozen stuck once. I learned to just not use the frunk on extremely cold days, which sucked. But it was a simple compromise.

Clicking sound from under the car in cold weather

I've used de-ice several times. It's for the windshield, not any other part of the car. But it works wonders. Beats the hell out of "scraping" your windshield.

Are We Asking the Wrong Question About Charging?

This seems like a ton of overthinking if you ask me. I have a Touring. I spend somewhere between 20 and 40 minutes charging, no matter what I need, and no matter what speed the charger gives me. I've never needed to spend more than that. If I can eat where I charge, bonus. If I can't, it...

Is the Forum Now Using an AI Program?

Settings > General > Keyboard. Turn off whatever is driving you nuts. Autocorrect has always been wonky for me. But I agree it has gotten much worse in the recent releases.
