Cool new key fob for Gravity... hopefully for Air too? (pics)

I personally don't care about "real buttons" or having a heavier brick in my pocket. It's the UWB that makes me envious of the Gravity fob. I hope Air gets UWB eventually, but I'd actually like to see it keep a sleeker, smaller footprint on the fob. And the lack of ugly buttons is actually a...

Gravity: Get in up close and personal plus 4 Airs - This week only in Las Vegas

The thing that always strikes me when I see Gravity in person is the size. It's deceptive. The car is pretty damn big. But it feels smaller than it is somehow. The lower roof height. The short nose. The sleek lines. It all contributes to a vehicle that does not at all seem as if it can...

Dead 3 week old FOB battery & question

I don't think pouches at home will help this one. It seems to drain whenever the phone and app and car are all together. I just got a fob battery warning for the first time ever this week. And my battery was swapped out by mobile service less than two months ago. So something is going on that...

20-ish mile range difference between 5 seat and 7 seat Gravity?

They are putting what they feel are the best wheels and tires possible. That’s their only motivation. They are obsessed with handling and dynamics.

    Winter Weather/Snow/Ice Best Practices?

Yes, I avoided the frunk on the coldest winter days when I lived in Colorado. Not worth the risk of freezing when it’s below zero. Especially if you are doing any highway driving. Other than that, the Air is a good winter car. Handles in snow just fine.

Tesla Model 3 vs. Lucid Air Pure

Totally agree. And I do think a roadster is a perfect trim to experiment with this concept. I don't need more than 200 miles from my "fun" car. An EV that's actually somewhat "lightweight" compared to today's EVs could be very fun to drive.

    4000 miles, tire blew up

Just curious. I'm not an expert on tire failure. Ultimately, it's Pirelli's responsibility if the tire did have a defect. But Lucid may help confirm that. I'd imagine they'd at least want the report, for the record. Maybe they've seen something similar before?

Tesla Model 3 vs. Lucid Air Pure

Rawlinson has suggested on several occasions that the key to getting the cost down to $50k ish is a much smaller pack. They will make up for that with lighter weight, better efficiency, etc. But I'm thinking he means much, much smaller than Air. At the same time, I can't see Lucid releasing a...

    4000 miles, tire blew up

Probably a combination of hitting something and perhaps a defect on that particular tire? I agree, it's a weird looking pop. I'm very curious what Lucid or Pirelli would have to say.

Tired of lack of Android support

The point of this forum is most certainly not to vent. We make that pretty explicit here, including in our guidelines. The point of the forum is to help people who need information or are looking for workarounds or solutions. There are thousands of places to vent on the internet. This is not...

Tesla Model 3 vs. Lucid Air Pure

The plan is to keep the price down on mid-size. So I'm not expecting Air range. But that would be an excellent bonus. I agree, I'd much rather have a sedan than anything else. But I'm not sure Lucid will do it, given the market. There are supposed to be three variants, so here's hoping…

    UX 2.5 OTA Update

It is coming. I swear. The Lucid team is very devoted to improving the audio. And they consider it a continuing process, not by any means a one-and-done. I think the holiday and Gravity software deadline has slowed down the OTA train a bit.

Lucid vs Tesla self drive software

It really depends. If FSD is super important to you, Lucid is probably not the best brand for you. It's a driver's car. The joy comes from operating it yourself and wanting to be the best possible driver in a machine that let's you drive it like a trained professional. The HA features are more...

Tesla Model 3 vs. Lucid Air Pure

Wholeheartedly agree. A lot will depend on how good mid-size ends up being. Or if there is something other than a crossover variant. If they make a little "hot hatch" or sedan I could see myself eventually replacing my Air with that. If they only do a crossover, I'll likely stick with the Air...

    Next big OTA update?

Not as far as anyone knows. From what I’ve gathered talking to various Lucid folks, the plan is for Air and Gravity to have the same DDP features moving forward. The equipment in the Air is capable of everything they are currently planning on building. At least for the next several years...
