Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

So it looks like my post #26 is dead on. This is silly on the part of that service manager.

    Tesla FSD

I see numerous drivers in all kinds of cars, with zero ADAS, not watching the road at all - is that preferable? FSD absolutely prompts you if you aren’t paying attention and will issue strikes that disable the feature as well.

Car will not update. Lucid says needs new telematics module not covered by warranty. Is this normal?

For $1400 (at retail price, certainly not Lucid’s cost), is this really worth Lucid denying? If they do, they’ll have an unhappy customer that will definitely not buy another Lucid and probably tells plenty of people about his experience. If they goodwill it, they will have a very happy...

Lucid gravity order begins Nov 7

I’m guessing the CT has a totally different demographic 😜 I hope my wife digs the Gravity so I can get on the list in November.

    Tesla FSD

Earnings are more important than show-and-tell or future “promises” - and that applies to Lucid as well. Wouldn’t you agree that earnings are what is driving the stock prices of both?

This is why i have trouble with self-driving in general

The latest version of FSD is pretty impressive - still not perfect, but it is improving dramatically now with each update. No way I would pay $8k for it, but I’m happy to pay the $99/month subscription for a while to see how it goes.

Customer Support - With time-sensitive issues, just stay on hold.

No excuse for employees of a company to not know about their own products though, especially if they are the customer facing folks for service.

Lucid Air Pure: The Real Tesla Fighter! - MKBHD - Auto Focus Review

SC network, phone key, and software stack is what every driver uses all the time - the luxury of the interior and driving engagement is great, but ya gotta master the basic touchpoints that owners can’t avoid.

    Great radar detector mount!

Thanks for the link - just ordered one.

Lucid Announces Public Offering of Common Stock and Corresponding Investment by an Affiliate of PIF

And that hasn’t figured out a way to make money on the product they produce yet. Not all newer companies with large capex need an endless supply from a sugar daddy. In no way is constant dilution a good thing either.

RESOLVED Lucid Manager Won't Replace Windshield The Shop Broke

You are a better man than me - I would have lost my sh** about the windshield, and then gone absolutely nuclear with the loaner car threat. I’m sure they have cameras all over their facility and I bet what happened is on tape. Best of luck - seems like that “manager” might need to be replaced.

I saw that - I think that show is fantastic too

Thanks for being the final and only correct opinion on the topic. 🙄

    Lucid air vs my m5

I understand the OP’s view - best case is to have them all. 😜. I have a forever car (911 turbo cab 6 speed), and ideal daily (Cayenne GTS), and an EV (Model S Plaid) - all bought pre-owned after the first owners took the depreciation. My wife drives a huge SUV and always has, so I feel like our...

Millbrae, CA Service dept doesn't answer their phone AND there is no way to leave a message

Can you imagine that process as a bespoke customer service model? Holy cow that is really lowering your expectations significantly. I guess customers get what they allow.
