Battery losing 3% in 10 hours

3% in 10 hours is a lot for a car that is parked. That's more than 3kWH, which is quite a bit of power--something like 30-35 100 watt light bulbs burning for 10 hours (I think--I don't do electricity very well. 🙃)

    Home Assistant Automations

Hmmm...I don't think I said it sux. I said I found it very cumbersome to configure. I'm not a coder, but I'm not a luddite either, and I am wondering how much time I want to invest setting this up to do....I don't know what. HomeKit works pretty well with about 80% of my devices. The other 20%...

    OTA Update 2.6.16

This is so interesting seeing how an OTA has such varied and unpredictable bugs. It makes me appreciate how complicated this software is.

    Home Assistant Automations

Really? Just giving some feedback on how user friendly this is/isn't for an averagely tech saavy person. Sorry to offend.

    Home Assistant Automations

Hmm..just hooked this up and already regretting it. Waaaaaaay too cumbersome to add devices. Prolly going to return it to Amazon.

    Consumer Reports Reliabilty Rankings

I'm seeing this as a lateral move from my e-tron GT. Some things will be better, some will be worse. I'm sure it will be a great car that is fun to drive. It won't be perfect, and how that manifests will dictate how great a car it is.

    Consumer Reports Reliabilty Rankings

Regardless of how you try to spin it, this is bad news for Lucid. You can slice it and dice it any way you want, but this is going to convince a fair number of people that Lucid produces unreliable cars. I was somewhat chagrined to see this rating, but went ahead, rolled the dice and ordered a...

    Home Assistant Automations

So just buy Home Assistant Green and I'm off and running? How hard is it to integrate all my Apple HomeKit stuff?

I currently have a Telsa cable (at home charging), what adaptor can I use to charge a Lucid Air Pure?

Just so everyone is clear, these work on L2 chargers (like the Tesla destination chargers). The Tesla Gen 3 wall unit is an L2 charger.

I asked Lucid to sneak me in for a test drive in Dallas this Saturday. This was their response.

Appropriate response by Lucid IMO. Not the best behavior otherwise. Sorry.

    Finally sold my pure…✌🏻

Like I said, the amount of planning you need to do with an EV is many times harder than with an ICE. Sorry, but that's how it is. Hopefully, charging technology and charging networks will improve to a point where we don't need ABRP, Plugshare and an EV's nav to do a road trip.

    Finally sold my pure…✌🏻

I think you guys are in the EV distortion field. I can hop in my Hybrid, travel pretty much anywhere I want without giving it a thought. I can't come close to doing that in my EV. Maybe you live in places where there are DCFCs on every corner, where all stalls are operational, and there are...

    Finally sold my pure…✌🏻

I'm not sure why you're after me about this, but whatever.

    Finally sold my pure…✌🏻

Ok it is endemic to virtually all EVs except Tesla. I tell my friends who ask about EVs that they are great if you have home charging and don't take a lot of road trips. Otherwise it is much more complicated to own an EV.

    School me on delivery process

I just learned from my SA that my AGT is supposed to leave the factory on June 16th. When I picked this car off the Lucidmotors.com web site, it said "available in four weeks." Well that has stretched to six weeks, and the car won't be available until it is delivered to the studio in MA, so it...

Wall Connector vs Mobile Charger – Help Me Decide!

This is what I do (for my Audi). I keep a portable charger in my car, which is for emergencies, and also for when we visit our summer cottage. At home, I have a hardwired ChargePoint Homeflex, which is a smart charger with lots of bells and whistles. Well after three years, I can tell you I have...

Supercharging. Explain it to me like I'm five years old

Yes the Magicdocks work with any CCS--even my Audi.
