    Missing lane centering

Yes, you haven't experienced lane centering because you don't have it. It is part of DD Pro. The feature you have is just a warning for when you cross a line without using your blinker.

Safety recall notice in the mail

It's just the all-weather floor mat recall being mailed out to everyone.

    DMV Lucid Owners

I’m starting to think about good rally routes again for this summer. I’d love to get some actual hills in this time, and the best hilly roads I know of nearby are over in West Virginia. No specifics yet, but how would you all feel about meeting up in Harpers Ferry and starting a drive from...

Lucid Mobile App – UX Observations & Curious if Others Feel the Same

It's possible to give feedback without complaining, IMO. It just has to be helpful. The app doesn't check for updates at all, updates are pushed to the car and your phone hears about it from the car. That's refreshed as often as the rest of the information from the car, which is every few...

    OTA Update 2.6.16

Yes. I don't think this is new behavior, just a more active warning. To let ABS do its job, regen is temporarily disabled when the car detects a bit of wheel spin / loss of traction.

Lucid Mobile App – UX Observations & Curious if Others Feel the Same

I'm confused, climate (on/off) is one tap of the power icon under Climate, and lock/unlock are one tap + confirmation. Additionally on iOS the app exposes shortcut actions for most vehicle functions which you can add to your home/lock screen.

Videos don't work on this site in Safari for some reason. Any other browser should work.

Steering - play and creaking from column

Not a creak exactly, but I had a ratchet-like clicking sound from the steering column that was fixed by replacing an internal piece of the steering column rather than the wheel.

    Mapped highways

That's not true. It uses HD mapping as well, and is geofenced to specific highways. It's just that the "specific highways" were, I assume, decided by filtering by certain properties (like no intersections) rather than a manual process.

    Mapped highways

There's no map that I'm aware of, but generally it is supposed to be any freeway (no traffic lights/intersections) in the US. I haven't found any counterexamples to that. Some highways with intersections have been included presumably by accident, but I'd be careful with that even if it lets you...

    Home Assistant Automations

Released version 1.1.1 just now, let me know how I broke everything for you 🙂 https://github.com/borski/ha-lucidmotors/releases/tag/v1.1.1

    Software issues

The whole keying system is different. Different and more normal looking fob with buttons, different sensor for it in the car, different wireless protocol. Different protocol for mobile key too (at least so rumor says).

[RESOLVED BY OTA 2.7.0] Car won’t go into DRIVE !

You're not being ignored, I think the resounding silence says that none of us have seen this before. I certainly haven't heard of this issue. Try a different charger if you can?

    Home Assistant Automations

Yup. Integrating HomeKit stuff is confusing but easy once you understand it. The confusion is because you can go both ways - you can share all your Home Assistant things with HomeKit, and you can share all of your HomeKit things with Home Assistant. The documentation isn't (to me at least) super...

Does your AM/FM radio work reliably? Mine does not

I hear you, but why not just get a dedicated emergency radio in that case? While it would be nice for that one case to have a dependable version built into the car, I don't see it as an expected core functionality of a car. It's a car, not a radio. 🤷‍♂️

Lucid and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology reported a strategic partnership.

Can we not post this wildly speculative question that has no answer about everything that happens in the company for the next 2 years

    Lucid UX 3.0

Most of UX 3.0 is software improvements, so yes. It won't look exactly the same, but a lot of it will translate to our screens just fine. No, I don't think there is any chance we'll get HUDs or new screens in old Airs. In future model years, sure. Nobody retrofits stuff like that. Even if it...

Range of Model S Plaid Mode vs Air GT in Sprint Mode?

That's not something that is officially rated. It's also kind of a silly thing to worry about. If you want range, don't put it in the mode that actively depletes your range. Sprint mode actively conditions the battery for peak output. Sprint gives more than enough range for the average track...

    OTA Update 2.6.16

Updates don't roll out to everyone at once to avoid fleetwide issues in case there are any bugs that need to be addressed. Don't worry about it. This one seems to be going out quicker than some, but the usual rule is to not think about it or call anyone until 2 weeks have passed from the initial...
