Set Map (not car) Orientation to North?

I've never seen that before and I use Apple Maps via CarPlay regularly. Not sure what to tell you there. I assume it doesn't do that when you open Apple Maps on your phone outside of the car? Maybe try your phone with CarPlay in a different car?

Video feed rear view mirror wanted…

Ohhh, I finally understand what this thread is about. I have never seen (or noticed?) those working while not in reverse. Not something I've ever considered wanting, but at least now I get what you're talking about haha You can show the backup camera while not in reverse though btw, as long as...

Video feed rear view mirror wanted…

I think there's some confusion here. Air and Gravity both have backup cameras. They're just displayed on the big screen in front of you rather than in a cutout of the mirror.

    New Charging Knowledge Center article

Unless I misunderstand something, it's definitely worth the extra power usage to me too. I plug in every night, I have more than enough range, and it should be able to keep topping up to my 80% limit even while heating, right? I just want regen to work at full capacity through the winter.

Lease return excess wear & tear

Section 9 is just the excess mileage charge.

Video feed rear view mirror wanted…

But why does the video feed need to be a tiny, hard to see rectangle in the mirror rather than on the big screen in front of you (like it already is in the Air)?

    OTA Update 2.6.0

I have been told I am wrong and borski is right. Definitely not by borski.

    OTA Update 2.6.0

I have no proof of this, but I do strongly suspect the car needs to be able to talk to the internet to authorize with EA automatically. I would hope it would still work if you used a credit card or the EA app to authorize it though.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Oh, no, to be clear the cloud is only involved for pairing, not for unlocking. Doesn't explain the delay when unlocking at all. And yes, it would absolutely be possible to create a new keyfob. The thought has crossed my mind.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

BLE to the car plus API requests to Lucid's cloud to authorize it.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

No, no way to peer into that data without lifting the (crypto) keys from either end, BLE traffic is also encrypted.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

For all we know it is built in house. Supply chain problem could mean raw materials or chips or something, not necessarily a whole component.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

It doesn't. Your Android phone treats it just like a head unit that supports AA. That said, it is a full computer with an internet connection from a Chinese brand nobody has ever heard of that you're sharing your contacts, location, navigation destinations, calendar events, etc. with.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Yes and yes. Standard issue NFC card and separate NFC chip in the fob. I've read it with a random NFC reader, though it has proper auth/encryption so not much to do with that. At least if you have an iPhone you'll also notice holding your phone up to the B pillar camera will pop open Apple...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

No need to break out the spectrum analyzer, install nRF Connect (a great BLE dev/debugging tool from NordicRF) on your phone and you can browse BLE devices. The Air shows up, as do all four corners of my neighbor's Rivian every time he drives by.

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

It's a more complex formula than just that. It definitely takes into consideration the weather and the number of things in your hands.

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Both. Neither are big problems, both are nuisances. You don't want any bits of dirt under your PPF, and you'd want to do minor paint correction if you pick up any chips on the way to the PPF shop.
