Okay, I still choose the Air, but…

That was pretty much my main goal... it's all in good fun, hope it's taken that way.

    Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

Good point - wife's Genesis need a hard drive (would not accept a flash drive, and had to be USB-A (anyone remember that). I think they had some DOS software to create the image (great for an all Mac home). While I was able to do it in my driveway it took an hour and was super convoluted.

that update probably shouldn't count - it was a hotfix for a big OhGeez - I'm guessing NHTSA does not favor cars whose doors open on their own while driving Maybe should use the Jan 30 update for the last time anything substantial was done?

Just tried it myself - yep Apple Pay popped right up. I double clicked to pay... I wonder what my mystery gift will be and when it will arrive? Maybe I'll get extra minutes about 20 for a massage now?

Lucid Air rendered as a wagon (hypothetical)

    I'd hit that... https://www.autoevolution.com/news/lucid-air-secretly-wishes-to-be-a-country-squire-superhero-puts-on-digital-wagon-overalls-249623.html

2 front tires blew when hitting potholes.

The problem with the "just don't hit the potholes" advice is most of the times it happened to me I could not see them until it was too late without making a very dangerous maneuver at highway speed. A few times it was During a lane change. At 60-80MPH, reaction time for about 10 car lengths is...

Okay, I still choose the Air, but…

low wheel/squircle will not be an issue for me- had an aftermarket yoke in my M3P with a river display - loved it. Looking forward to test driving when when it hits the Chicago studio. I do also like that it looks like the suspension can be dropped a good bit - makes it look kind of cool.

2 front tires blew when hitting potholes.

Same experience for me in a '21 Tesla M3P with 20" wheels. 6 tires in 4 years. I spent a lot of time on the side of the road waiting for Roadside assistance or having it towed back to the dealership. It also had a very jarring ride. Lesson learned on low profile tires - I'll keep those for my...

Okay, I still choose the Air, but…

Great feedback on the Gravity - sounds like a great driver. I have a Gravity on order, but now having the Air I am reconsidering it. I don't have younger kids, and use wifey's SUV thing for the dogs and hauling/road trips (excuse to keep them out of my car). I've had big ol suv's in the past...

Out of Spec new YT video: Road to Gravity

Favorite thing I do not miss - having to sit in a greasy service center waiting room for hours on end multiple times a year to have oil changed/transmission fluid/brake fluid/coolant/etc/whatnot (and deal with the "service advisor" who treats everyone like a dummy). In 4 years of driving a...

I think I figured out much of the cause of my MobileKey frustrations - baby got back!

As soon as I place the phone between me and the vehicle even with the screen off, hit rate goes to 100%. Shaking seems to make no difference. I should probably stop testing this before my wife calls the padded wagon/white long sleeved backwards jacket people on me, LOL. For me it's definitely...

I think I figured out much of the cause of my MobileKey frustrations - baby got back!

Nope - phone locked, lying face down on a kitchen cutting board in my left hand - success rate = 100%. Phone then moved to my back pocket, still locked - rate is 30%

Also I should have mentioned - all of my testing above was done with the Lucid app closed.

I think I figured out much of the cause of my MobileKey frustrations - baby got back!

Maybe if so it should be suggested here to people having problems as step #1. I have literally never seen it - everybody seems to immediately go to pair/unpair/re-pair, reboot, reset etc, or they say "works fine for me, never have an issue".

I think I figured out much of the cause of my MobileKey frustrations - baby got back!

I have a '25 Touring and use (or have been trying to with great frustration) MobileKey exclusively with passive lock and passive unlock both enabled. I keep a Valet card in my wallet as well as a backup. I have been very frustrated with the performance of MobileKey for me and I think I have...
