    BMS Power Draw

Do you keep checking via the app? Tesla owners have similar issues when constantly waking the car up. Are you sure the car is fully “going to sleep” or is something running to make the battery drain (A/C, BMS to cool the batteries/motors, etc)?

    use of LIDAR.

For those of you that believe LiDAR is a meaningful addition of not having it, can you share your rationale? Does anyone believe there are benefits in addition to better obstacle visibility in poor conditions (rain/snow/fog) or the ability to see multiple cars ahead?

Selling Grand Touring Black Exterior/Mojave interior

You have a dealer offer for $10k more than cost, don't even have the car in hand and aren't jumping at it? Interesting times. Did you end up taking delivery and selling it?

    30 Used Lucids for sale

Granted this isn't the same situation, but I can share our recent experience. My father bought and listed a brand new Model 3 for sale at the same price it would cost to buy new (basically saving someone the wait). He reserved before the price hikes. No one was willing to pay over asking...

Tesla FSD status: still utter crap

Its a fair point and Elon has always been late with delivering on FSD. I got the most recent beta update last night and its two steps back on my drive to work this morning with some odd abrupt stopping behavior. Overall (I've FSD beta for about 6 months now) its getting better and better...

Battery Sizes - New information for Pure AWD / RWD

Agree - zero chance they can do 400 on a 65kW battery. Battery is likely to be 90kW plus to be able to achieve 400mi and have a bit of buffer built in.

    use of LIDAR.

Tesla likely has billions of miles more logged than others but their system is vision based, not geofenced 3D mapped areas. Other auto manufacturers would likely have to adopt a different approach to license the data and algos Tesla uses for FSD.

Do the standard DreamDrive comes with Autopilot like on the Teslas?

To be fair, Tesla puts the same hardware in all cars for ease of manufacturing efficiency. Lucid could do this, but they’re of the opinion LiDAR is necessary to solve FSD and likely costs too much to include in cars that don’t opt for DDPro. Resale value is only worth meaningfully more if they...

How many EVs have you owned before ordering Lucid Air?

    1. 2015 Model S (sold) 2. 2018 Model 3 (my current car) 3. 2021 Model Y (wife's current car)

Do the standard DreamDrive comes with Autopilot like on the Teslas?

Same thought process as me - it just depends on what's important to someone(I currently drive a Model 3 and don't want a crossover either). I'm not willing to spend $100k on a car, which rules out the S and more expensive Air options. I also want actual technology/engineering and a bit of...

Do the standard DreamDrive comes with Autopilot like on the Teslas?

I'd also want clarity on this. Not providing TACC and Lane Keep Assist with the base functionality would be a deal breaker for me as these features are now standard on $23k Honda Civics. After being a part of the Tesla FSD show for the past 3 years, I personally wouldn't purchase DreamDrive...

    Air Pure reservations

The bottom line is we don't know. I believe it's easily capable of 620HP, but whether Lucid decides to software limit the power to a lower number is still TBD. For me, I want 600hp and 0-60 in 3.5 or less. If they haircut the Touring by a lot, it may change my decision to wait for the car.

    Air Pure reservations

Range loss is due to a lot of factors, but the battery chemistry across models should be the same - this means the Pure shouldn't lose capacity any faster than any of the other models. Cycles (number of charges), heat (frequent level 3 charging), charge and discharge voltage, and the level at...

    Air Pure reservations

I wouldn’t be surprised if the modules in the two are the same but the Pure is software locked for ease of manufacturing. As long as the car gets 400miles of range and 550+hp I’ll be happy. If the Tesla Model 3 can put out north of 500hp with a 75-80kW battery, 400v architecture and less...

    Air Pure reservations

Have you driven a Tesla with FSD? My current car is in the beta program and its really good. I'd love to see someone else (like Lucid) put forth a great solution that makes rapid progress, but I don't think slapping LIDAR on a car will solve the data collection and training shortcoming...

    Mercedes EQS SUV

EQS markups at present appear to be in the $25-50k range. I'm sure that's a drop in the bucket for some, but is not something I'd even remotely consider, especially after reserving something at an MSRP and then being told the cost is actually 30%+ higher.

    Air Pure reservations

I reserved on 5/6 and spoke to an HQ sales advisor on Saturday. He told me the AWD expected pricing thoughts at this time is $6k (higher than the $5k I've seen posted above) but that this will have the same power (620hp) as the touring. He hedged with "this isn't finalized and certainly could...
