The SMS text request was the ideal venue to balance utilization of cs time for an innocuous request. All 6k owners could message simultaneously and not burden the system. My surprise is that the system responded. Earlier this year it most definitely would not.

I would hope they have the capacity to handle his request! I'm amazed he got a response.

I found an APK mirror site an downgraded the app to the early May version. Will report back if it resolves the drain. Currently at 70% from 81% after 2 days of sitting in the garage.

Luckily I don't have to have the battery draining Android app open to receive the update that provides Android auto... Unfortunately I will leave it open given my impatience

Lost another percent when I opened the app this afternoon. No clue if it's the app or the vehicle. Annoyingly need to force stop I guess.

Quick update on my end- looks like about a 2% loss overnight- so maybe 1% every 4hrs or so. Shut off unrestricted background use on the app and shut off notifications. Hopefully that takes care of it and doesn't impact use of mobile key. Also, hopefully someone updates this thread when there's...
