    Test drive before 2H25.....maybe?

The sales machine has to get going, they've had enough time. At some point you need to give up chasing perfection and just start selling. Tesla is literally the complete opposite. Musk sells the shit out of nothing, takes peoples money, and takes years to deliver. He's a bonafide snake oil sales...

    Test drive before 2H25.....maybe?

Is there a VP of Sales at Lucid? Seems like they fucking need one. A sales guy would be all over trying to get the product into a person's hand to get the money of the table. I love the engineering but no one at Lucid seems to know how to sell to customers and manage customer relations.

    Test drive before 2H25.....maybe?

I stopped by the Pasadena location this weekend. One of the employees mentioned the Gravity should be in the showroom in a month. Didn't mention anything about test drives, but he seemed pretty confident they'd have one for people to sit in and look at in 30 days. One step closer to test drives...

"Announced CEO transition..." Rawlinson out as CEO

I don't think Peter would do that to Lucid either. Still his baby after all, even if he doesn't work there anymore. Nevertheless, still worth pointing out. I'm sure some companies have already approached him.

"Announced CEO transition..." Rawlinson out as CEO

True but we live in a country where corporations regularly break rules and ask for forgiveness after. Time and time again, patents get infringed and tied up in court for years. Its really a common practice especially with larger companies that essentially have limitless resources. This happened...

"Announced CEO transition..." Rawlinson out as CEO

I personally adore Peter, and the team he put together is truly special. However, I think something like this has be coming for so many reasons. The fact he wasn't kept on as CTO, is only a resource to the chairman at the request of the chairman, not being on the ER call, and also not staying on...

600kw pit stops for Formula E

https://arstechnica.com/cars/2025/01/600-kw-fast-charging-pitstops-are-coming-to-formula-e/ Wonder if lucid has any hand in this

    LA Wildfires

I live in an evacuated zone for the Eaton fire. If my wife was not listening to the radio on her way home, I would have never known there was a fire. I snapped this photo right before we left @ 7PM Wed night. Honestly, I was not too nervous about the fire until the next day. I even went back...

What’s your estimate - Gravity volume for 2025

I don't want to play this game and put a number inside everyone's heads.

    Gravity Orders Discussion

Interesting idea. Might be with looking at EQE vs EQS numbers too or i4 vs iX.

    Well that spectacularly backfired

I'm gunna throw a wrench into the discussion and go a very different direction. Why, if production is not a limiting factor are customers having to wait several weeks for custom orders? The capacity is there, so what is the problem? There are 6 colors, so even if the paint area does one color...

    Well that spectacularly backfired

Death cross was on the card the moment dilution happened. I think you are armcharing a bit too much. You don't have all the cards and it is very easy to be critical after the fact. Who is to say your suggestion wouldn't result in Lucid being in a worse of scenario? As Broski said, if your...

    Well that spectacularly backfired

I think investors are still allowed to be critical. Marketing has been.... Less than stellar. People will point to the increase in deliveries but I would counter that with the lower avg cost. Is it marketing or simply a lower cost to entry that resulted in higher delivery numbers? VP of...

Adding an LLM support to this forum

Not sure ChatGPT API access is free....but maybe Broski is a baller baller, and willing to caught up the tokens to let people summarize threads instead of read them. Personally, half the fun of forums has always been searching and learning before jumping into conversations. Facebook groups and...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

It is insane to think that the Air was delivered Oct 2021, and now Gravity will be delivered Dec 2024. Then Midsize sometime in 2026. I mean that is FAST. I imagine to launch cars at this speed with a giant catalogue to just pick parts from but Lucid is developing so much tech and software in...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

Lots of trucks will try to use the transmission to hold downhill speeds; downshift. Then you can just tap the brakes to bring it under control. Diesel trucks have jake brake system.

    Gravity Orders Discussion

But in the case of towing, your 5000lbs system is now doubled to 10,000 lbs. So I'm genuinely curious how they deal with that type of situation. Full battery, downhill, hauling a large load, how do you manage the speed?

    Gravity Orders Discussion

Random thought: In the Air, if your battery is full. Regen turns off. What happen if you are towing a heavy load, say 5500lbs, traveling downhill, and your battery is full? Do you lose all regen assist? Is the only way to control your downhill speed via brakes? Or do they apply some current...
