    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

It would, but hopefully it won't be important enough, especially if Lucid enhances what they added.

I occasionally use Alexa when something important comes up like needing to find out Abraham Lincoln's shoe size in the middle of a drive, or calculating a number because I don't want to do the math in my head, but the need comes up less often than you might think. At least for the first one, but...

Lucid missing market segment begging to be exploited via Dream Drive

I'd prefer to have more of the features that Tesla has, but there are some things that Tesla got very wrong, in my view, related to that post. Tesla might show more cars in the adjacent lanes in the display, but the Lucid gives very clear blind spot indications, as well as a sensibly placed view...

Lucid missing market segment begging to be exploited via Dream Drive

That's a problem in general with the definitions of levels. Almost all traffic laws in the US are state laws, and drivers (the person in the driver's seat) have to follow the rules of the road, including paying attention. No car company can change that, so in most places, even if a car can do...

    Keep car unlocked

How about: 1-Car opens the garage door and backs itself out 2-All enter vehicle 3-Drive (and the car locks itself) Now that even relatively inexpensive cars are doing that, I hope it's on their list. Even in the long run, I don't anticipate needing the car to do more than move straight back or...

Lucid Motors Unveils Plan For Three Affordable EVs To Challenge Tesla

Testing it made me appreciate the Lucid a lot more, because ergonomics wasn't the strong point of the EV6 or the Iconiq 6. I suppose you get used to whatever you drive, but there are so many things that drivers might typically set once or that don't seem needed that Lucid got right. The salesman...

Lucid Motors Unveils Plan For Three Affordable EVs To Challenge Tesla

He's considering an Iconiq 6 but hasn't seen one in person yet. As far as charging, he's using a standard 15A outlet, and for the amount he drives (probably under 2000 miles per year) I don't think it will matter, but it will make him happy to see that he's getting more miles of charge per hour...

Lucid Motors Unveils Plan For Three Affordable EVs To Challenge Tesla

When they got rid of the radar in my Model 3, it no longer saw what was two cars ahead. It's probably not an issue for FSD, but for manual driving it's nice to have extra warning if the vehicle in front of the vehicle in front slams on its brakes. Parking sensors are gone, but cameras are there...

    Weak AC/Heater blower

I'd like to see an option to have the app use Max A/C when the system is turned on remotely, without having to change the normal temperature setting. I'd also like to see it revert to the user setting in the car once somebody gets in. The problem is that it doesn't do a good job cooling the car...

Watch out when sending a destination from Google Maps on your phone to your car

It's slightly more awkward, and I don't want to make an excuse for things not working right, but touching and holding the address in Google Maps will copy it, so pasting it into the Lucid app isn't too much more work. I haven't seen the problem but thanks for the warning.

Actual Mileage Efficiency: Real World Drive Anaheim to Palo Alto

Interesting. 118kWh is the pack size of the GT, so if I made that trip with the GT on 19 inch tires... Of course there are other variables, but I'd probably stick to around 75 mph. I wouldn't make the trip nonstop even if I didn't have to charge, but it sounds like a 10 minute charge at Harris...

Lucid Motors Unveils Plan For Three Affordable EVs To Challenge Tesla

How do you like the EV6 in the meantime? I can't wait for the new Lucids to come out. I mean that literally. My father needs a new car. He's 90 years old, and waiting for a few years isn't such a great idea. He might not need a car by then. In the meantime, he's got my Model S, and he finds the...

Lucid vs Tesla self drive software

That's not supposed to happen. I had that problem once and it turned out to be a problem with the cable for the rear view camera. It caused an intermittent problem. There was no error message for it, and in the interim, using the turn signal got the car back in lane 2 when it was in the leftmost...

    Lane centering anomalies

I likely had intermittent problems with it before it stopped working consistently. It wouldn't have made it to a customer if it hadn't been working initially so it's a question of when it went bad. I did see messages in the car about Lidar in the past, and unfortunately the Lucid doesn't keep a...

    Lane centering anomalies

It turned out to be the lidar. They replaced it and the problem is fixed. It also fixed auto park.

App is slow to wake car

The problem is fixed. They did a TCU reset. (Telecommunication control unit) They said that it's an easy thing to do but it's not something that a customer can do. I was told that if it happens again and I'm in the area, I could come by, implying that it could be done quickly without an...

App is slow to wake car

It's possible that it's better there than anywhere I've ever driven to, but considering that they explicitly told me that they'd take care of it, I doubt that.

App is slow to wake car

I'd been having the problem for a long time with the app sometimes taking minutes to wake up the car. I brought the car in for a few issues, and for this one they said they'd take care of it by resetting something. I'm not sure what, and my car isn't back yet, but for the past two days if the...

Dashboard appearance of Dream Drive Pro

Exactly, and nobody has to tell people constantly (or at all) not to keep their feet on the dashboard when using cruise control. Even keeping a foot over the accelerator takes more time to move it to the brakes than it takes to move your hands from your lap to the steering wheel, and I don't...

Dashboard appearance of Dream Drive Pro

In all fairness, "annoying" is subjective. I don't find the prompts in the Lucid annoying. I do find ones in a Tesla annoying. Lucid won't bother me if there's a moderate and consistent amount of pressure on the wheel. If I do get a warning for any reason, a tug will make it go away, and if I...
