    Emergency exit from inside

Just be aware that, at least according to this thread, all of the glass has a PVB interlayer… I.e. is laminated glass (which is the case for a lot of higher end cars). It’s designed to hold together in a crash, which can be beneficial in terms of preventing occupants being thrown from the car...

    Rivian Q3 Production

Lucid has never announced production prior to issuing earnings report (don’t think they have set a date yet…probably in a month).

    Rivian Q3 Production

Produced 7,363 & delivered 6,584 (analyst expectation was 7,000 deliveries). They generally seem to be on track for their 25,000 in 2022 target. https://rivian.com/newsroom/article/rivian-produced-7363-vehicles-in-q3-2022

    Lucid is not alone

They only delivered 34 Lyrics in all of Q3 😱

Something limiting power from Mobile Charging Cable

My understanding is that an overrated breaker (in this case a 60A breaker for a 50A outlet) is a no-no: it’s against code and increases risk of fire. May have nothing to do with your charge rate issue though.

It does look like the production indeed is 50 to 60 per day 20 days of the month.

As a future Pure owner it sucks because it just pushes that day back, but as a shareholder it makes sense to sell as many high trim cars as possible while volumes and factory efficiency are still low.

    Lucid Paint

I agree - would definitely be great to see some datapoints from more recent production. Possible there is also variation between colors (as I think some colors take more coats than others). It sounds like Out-of-Spec is going to follow up with a more detailed video. The apparent scenario of...

    Battery recall?

If it was me I’d definitely insist on something official in writing outlining exactly what the issue is and what work they propose to perform.

Don’t leave your car L2 charger plugged in for extended period of time.

I don’t think that would be it. For an EV there is no reason it would be limited to replenishing the LV battery only while driving.

Car backs up while in drive

Hmmm- I’m not really understanding how the car could predict a collision 10 seconds in advance. …unless it planned the collision I guess?!? 😮

    Turtle of Doom!

You also have to figure in what % of owners are posting on this forum (forum posters owning Airs are a sample of all Air owners)

Tire inflator kit requires extension cord for 12v

They might not necessarily be identical- the Lucid one is stickered with a higher max. speed limit (maybe different sealant?) so there may be other differences, although they are likely made by the same company.

    Battery

I wonder if some motors are intrinsically “tighter” than others, simply due to manufacturing tolerances.

No reserve Air GT on BAT

Looks like it just sold for $124k (I guess $129k with buyers fee added). Someone got a steal! Basically a new GT for nearly $30k off. I associate BAT more with classic cars…maybe this wasn’t the ideal venue for selling.

Another review: Software troubles are holding this car back

Yes- I asked Lucid this question as a hypothetical (as I’m not expecting to be at that point for some time). Once a VIN is assigned they will be somewhat flexible to work around travel/vacation schedules for delivery, but they won’t put off delivery for weeks, or allow any sort of hold (I.e...

Another review: Software troubles are holding this car back

Technically any week that isn’t in the past, or the current week is “coming” ;) I.e. I think they close their language carefully.

California is Getting a Charging Upgrade

My read is that existing locations are getting expanded and the added chargers will be dual Tesla/CCS. Based on that I assume they will be the new v4 versions which seem to have longer cables. If that’s the case I think they will easily reach.

New Tech Talk with Rawlinson, Drive Unit: Motor

As far as I can tell it just a different size of battery casing (larger compared to the AA-like cells in other Teslas, Lucid and others). Probably a bit cheaper to make because you have fewer cells to make and assemble together to make a pack, but not exactly exciting.

    New EA Labels

Maybe EA’s rates should be slightly higher for 350 vs 150. The 350 units presumably cost more, and demand pricing for commercial electricity would mean running costs are also higher for 350 vs 150, all else equal. That would incentivize people to get educated on what their car’s capability is...
