New England owner coastal drive, take 2!

I'm already booked for that day. I was looking forward to another meetup, but not this time.

RESOLVED Why does the music keep playing when I stop the car?

So I have been listening to an audiobook in the car. Having it try to keep playing whenever possible is a big problem in this case. I push pause when I park the car. But when I return to the car, it has already started playing before I get in, and I and up missing over a minute of audio every...

    Feature Request: Disable/Enable door locks

When I dropped my car off the night before a detailing appointment, I asked about a key drop box. They said to just lock the key in the car and they could call in the morning when they were ready to move it and I could remotely unlock it for them. I tested this before trying it, and sure...

    USB Media Tips?

Different people have different priorities. Those of us who spend time driving where there's no cell service need a way to play the music we bring with us...

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

I should have said a little more. Arriving home, I open the garage when I'm about a block away, and this always works, with the phone using cellular data to talk to our Meros garage door controller. It also works when the phone is on the house WiFi, somehow figuring out that it can talk...

    CarPlay is here! - Megathread

I have that happening as well, and figured it out. Siri uses the Meros app on my phone to control our garage door through our home WiFi. When CarPlay is running, the car and phone are on an ad hoc network and not the house WiFi, so cannot talk to the Meros controller on the garage door. It...

    Boston area PPF/Ceramic installer recommendations

I got the front wrapped and everything ceramic coated at Craft Detailing (Woburn location). Their main location is in Dedham. They have done multiple Lucids at both locations.

    2.0.56

It seems to only be going out to Touring and Pure. I wonder if it is literally those trims, or if it is any car with a rev 2 Wunderbox, and not many GTs have that.

I programmed my garage door with home link and works fine but when my wife was driving she couldn’t access the. garage door without switching profiles

I've been hoping that Lucid will do away with the profiles as managed by the underlying Android Automotive and do the profiles themselves in another layer. It's crazy that profiles take so long to switch, and the not sharing Homelink info. I also get annoyed switching drivers every 2 hours on...

EA free charging is a joke.

In October we took our new AGT on a 7,000 mile road trip from Boston to Yellowstone and back. Three weeks of public charging, mostly at EA stations, and we only had one charging failure, and that one wasn't a big deal. We used ABRP set to "more frequent shorter stops" for planning and often...

    Quick question about insurance

The rules about insurance vary by state. Many states have mandatory insurance, and in most of those you can't take delivery of a car without having insured it first.

A tire-destroying pothole right in front of a tire store? Maybe they put the hole there to drum up business?

    Floor mats!

I received my 3D mats yesterday and am very happy with how they look. I did find one interesting feature. Someone complained here that their genuine Lucid mats had rivets holding the Lucid logo on and those rivets had rusted, leaving stains on the carpet. The 3D mats also have a logo riveted...

    Electrify America Issues

Get the phone apps PlugShare and A Better Route Planner. Both are better at finding charging stations than the Lucid's built-in nav. And you can check reviews on PlugShare to see if a given charger has been working for people.

Anyone buy their car and have Lucid register it with their Montana LLC?

My dad used to sell auto insurance as an independent agent. He had lots of stories of people who played games with registering or insuring cars in places other than where they were actually used. And when those people had a major claim, the insurance company would refuse coverage and cancel...

    Electrify America Issues

Just to present another experience: charging largely just works for me. I've charged at EA maybe 30 times in the 4 months I've had my Lucid, and all but one time it has worked. I've used ChargePoint and EVGo too. I've done several road trips in my Lucid and don't hesitate to take it.

Has anybody tried to connect to the ethernet port yet?

I watched a Lucid technician plug a standard laptop into that ethernet port. Electrically it is ethernet. No idea what software is needed to communicate with the car.

    Trouble at the Garage

Someone reported in another thread that the fob isn't always recognized when dropped into a cup holder. That's probably what the garage staff is doing, rather than having it in a pocket.

    Adapting to Regenerative Braking

I had no problem adjusting to one pedal driving, but I hate not having the home button on my iPhone. Bad analogy. Part of what love about the Lucid is the number of physical controls that they have retained.
