EV Newb with GT on order and High Anxiety 😬

Your moment of revelation approaches! I still remember how blown away I was during my test drive. I think you'll appreciate the approaches Lucid took in regards to driving dynamics and interior feel.

EV Newb with GT on order and High Anxiety 😬

For anything above 50-150 kW those are likely the only options, but if you're traveling through an area without a lot of infrastructure it certainly wouldn't hurt to see what level 2 options there are just in case.

    My GT DCFC charging experience

Thanks for sharing your experience! Seems like it was a solid session overall. I imagine it's next to impossible to get that perfect, unrestricted session in the area with how busy the chargers are, but as long as you're flexible and attentive you shouldn't have much difficulty getting what you...

    Air Pure DC Fast Charging

This was on my Touring last night. Above 250 kW is possible, but fully functioning chargers can be hard to find.

EV Newb with GT on order and High Anxiety 😬

I think that's part of the beauty of it all. You can take it easy and go 70-75 and get class-leading range and efficiency, or you can cruise at 80+ to get to your next stop quickly, take a 20-30 minute charging/pit stop, and then keep on cruising. The Lucid does both very well and makes either...

EV Newb with GT on order and High Anxiety 😬

The included EVSE has both a NEMA 14-50 (220V) plug and the 110V plug. As others have suggested, the GT will probably be a good fit for you. I think you can theoretically order one without massaging seats, but if you think you'll keep the car at leqdt a few years you should go for all the extra...

    Preconditioning questions

One thing I didn't think about is the car will not let you use the climate hold function when the battery is low (<15%), so using this to allow preconditioning to continue probably wouldn't be super helpful, unless the battery is especially cold.

Do it! You're not that much farther away than me. 😆

North Carolina Rally: Tail of the Dragon + More

If nothing else this car has certainly brought out my adventurous side, and this is definitely one adventure I don't want to miss. Plus, I've already gone to California and back a bunch of times in the past year, so I've already got plenty of road trip miles under my belt. That said, if Lucid...

North Carolina Rally: Tail of the Dragon + More

Very much looking forward to this! As I'm not local there's probably nothing I can do to help with the planning/preparation, but if there ever is please let me know. I'll start planning my route for the trek out from Utah.

    Preconditioning questions

Interesting idea! Next time I'm low on charge I can try this, unless someone else gets around to it first.

    Preconditioning questions

As @hydbob explained the car will have to be on/awake for preconditioning to be active, but it can certainly be left in park while doing so. I would say that unless you're actively packing up the car or closeby while it's preconditioning it's probably not worth the hassle. The amount of time...

    Preconditioning questions

Gotta get that sweet, sweet charging curve data! In all seriousness, these are things i feel Lucid could improve. What is my current battery temperature and how long until preconditioning reaches the optimal temperature? Let me start preconditioning using the app! There are times I'd really...

Perhaps I should have bought a GT....

Per the manual the red icon is just a system fault warning for the 12V. I'm guessing there isn't a specific warning indicating the 12V is low or not being charged by the high voltage battery, but maybe this would display in those scenarios, or a message would display on the left side of the...

Charging Performance after 2.1.52 HV Preconditioning improvements

Would you mind sharing what this mesdahe links to if you're able? If not maybe I'll just go plug into the local EA on my way home today. I'd like to follow Lucid's recommendations as much as possible for my upcoming test.

Charging Performance after 2.1.52 HV Preconditioning improvements

True. The improvements above 50% may just be very minor. Should hopefully have more data soon.

Charging Performance after 2.1.52 HV Preconditioning improvements

Post in thread 'Reduced fast charging performance' https://lucidowners.com/threads/reduced-fast-charging-performance.6975/post-170040 More data I had gathered. Note the Baker CA session 11/19. Also...

Charging Performance after 2.1.52 HV Preconditioning improvements

Hurray data! Compared to all the data I've collected I'm not seeing any significant difference above 50%. I suspect the charger was limiting speeds below 50%, though. Without preconditioning the speed will typically climb slightly as the battery warms up before dipping back down. Thanks for...

Charging Performance after 2.1.52 HV Preconditioning improvements

I'll admit I'm not as hard on EA as everyone else, but FWIW we'll be using an EVGO station that historically has worked really well, and the units provide more charging data so we can hopefully verify the session isn’t station limited.
