SF Bay Area to LA -- what's the best plan?

We like to do a jaunt down from the Bay Area to Santa Clarita the night before, stay there and then head down into LA the next day. Works well since we can get the kids in their pajamas and they just sleep in the car. I have noticed that the charging curve in our cars could really use some work...

    Some Lucid App Questions...

If this is true, it definitely explains some of the issues for me at home where there is little to no cell signal. I have to admit though, I see similar issues with my Model 3, where it seems to take a while to wake up and sometimes fails at my house.

    Some Lucid App Questions...

iOS was actually on UWB for digital car key in Apple's native app implementation: https://support.apple.com/guide/security/car-key-security-secf64471c16/web From my understanding, BT is only setup to work in conjunction with native apps from each car mfg so when the app gets killed in the...

    Some Lucid App Questions...

Are you talking about Lucid's key support or Android, I thought Android only had two options for it's digital car key implementation, NFC and UWB : https://www.androidauthority.com/android-digital-car-key-3222078/ I may be wrong though....for our BMW, it required UWB to get passive lock/unlock...

    Some Lucid App Questions...

UWB support is not widespread enough for the native Android key support, my Samsung Flip 5 doesn't have it for example. Without UWB support, the native android key only works via NFC, which works well but you still have to pull out your phone. I've found that some phones are much more active in...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

That was a mistake from me last week, but I think this week is it ....I talked to an insider and here's what they said "What? Why are you asking me, I work at nVidia, ask someone from Lucid" There is little room for interpretation there, today is the day.

    Vampire Drain

Exactly, tbf, my wife's bmw doesn't do this either, we ended up turning off auto locking when the key moves away but its still super annoying

RESOLVED Charge port error and Wiper Blade error

I turned off all the charging scheduling and stuff on my charger and just let the car manage it all. Has made it a lot simpler for anyone else using the car or in my house like my wife and parents just to start charging from in the car without having access to the charger app too.

    Vampire Drain

They really need to add a different behavior when at home, like not locking so the car won't unlock/lock and disabling app continuous connectivity when unlocked and having it only wake up when the door opens or the car is forced to wakeup from the app.

I've been having luck with the chargers just working, even one where the screen was broken, getting a max charge rate has been a definite miss though

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

The Lucid nav has also been unstable for me, crashing while being used for navigation and instead of reopening it just disappears and then you have to click back through everything to restart it.

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

I just got back from vacation in Japan and am happy to say I had a dream.... a vision of AA coming to our vehicles like an angel, hovering above and bestowing a great but terrible power upon us and our conveyances. Also, I'll take work week 37 in the '2024 whens aa coming to Lucid' pool

    RESOLVED Service Dept Overload...Great Outcome!

I dropped my car off for the annual service and few minor items to get repaired, ended up having to get a rental but their policy for rental is frankly fantastic, ended up with a pickup truck and got all my wife's plant shopping taken care of that weekend. Sure it wasn't great not having the car...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

It would suck if the AA implementation is the same as CarPlay, where the nav doesn't come up in the binnacle at all. It also sucks that if you want to access the car based audio, you have to completely exit CarPlay and lose nav completely if you were using it.
