    New Air Touring Owner

Don't forget charging and efficiency. I managed to get them to move my car from a different location to get a 5K 'on-site' delivery discount, but I can go to the studio and speak to a real human and then work with them over email.

Does the AC reduce motor output, similar to an ICE vehicle?

The only time this might happen is if you get down to <1% SOC and you run out of battery voltage (which reduces discharge rate to both systems), but the car will light up with warnings. But really SOC is the thing that affects motor power output the most. Dirty secret of EVs, they tell you to...

What's your internal temp high score?

Yeah I get very concerned about the Screen Electronics when it's been baking in the sun and I touch behind the screen. Been more proactive about a windshield reflective shade these days, leaving a window cracked and the built-in shades up. Can also set it to keep at 85 deg f if really needed...

Kim Java Preview of the Lucid Gravity

There has been plenty of studies that FSD is not a critical feature to 90% of buyers, along with some rather damning statistics on actual usage/subscription rates for Teslas running FSD miles/total miles. I agree with the final comment, there is no reason to actually buy a car that drives...

Gravity spotted testing on Nürburgring Nordschleife Racetrack (Germany)

Agreed, but better they test there anyways from a dynamics standpoint you can go through so many different scenarios. Maybe one of those Gravities has 3 motors:P And I thought the Cayenne Turbo GT would beat the RSQ8 as well?

Major Failure on Brand New Lucid Air Touring

It never hurts to ask, although depending on the fine print in the lease contract it may not work out in your favor. Asking for an additional month, or sort of resetting the start date of the lease based on your fixed car maybe the easiest way to come to a fair compromise....

    Production Frustration or Productive Delay

Correct, let's not forget the effectively just 'acquired' Nikola and are on-boarding 300 employees and new factory....

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Hey nobody said you can't collect and flip them, a bit of a riskier proposition these days:P

    Software and Tech Opinions

Yes but they are fairly common gripes with some fairly straightforward workarounds. I actually think this is the one area where if the app had a little GPT chatbot that could explain out some for owners it would make it easier. I just have gotten used to the occasional times where my cell...

Hold onto your butts - Hagerty Drag Race

Totally agree, and I think Lucid nailed the briefing when it came to on-road comfort, efficiency and luxury. Rivian is super cool but the skew towards 0-60 and off-road isn't necessarily as broadly capable (see charging speeds, range, efficiency (operating costs)) and interior space. That...

Hold onto your butts - Hagerty Drag Race

I would expect the quad motor R1S to dust the Gravity. It's been tested at mid 2s 0-60, although I think it still stops accelerating at like 111 mph.

Hold onto your butts - Hagerty Drag Race

Preview embedded in the M5 Wagon drag race. Gravity, R1S, Macan EV and E-tron RS?

    OTA Update 2.7.0

Yes between the new Trofeo RS tires and track testing in Europe/Nurburgring they found some things they wanted to tweak on the Sapphire.

Is Sanctuary Mode available without the Tech Package upgrade?

The refreshed Model X added them along with all of Tesla's line-up, although they made them 'standard' by increasing the base price. I guess I am having trouble seeing why one wouldn't want them, if they are distracting just turn it off.

Why not drop price of Air instead of "Air Credit" on invoice?

That works even in more favor for the EV....I suppose I could stash an airtag in the CR-V so I can track it on an app like the Lucid....I don't think that State Farm would lower my rates then.

Why not drop price of Air instead of "Air Credit" on invoice?

Yeah I am confused about why not change insurance. My Honda Cr-V is worth 1/6th of my Lucid and yet its insurance is 2/3 the cost. MSRP isn't a factor in the insurance cost from what I see.

Why not drop price of Air instead of "Air Credit" on invoice?

Well Tesla just raised the price of Model S refresh 5K and they aren't selling any of them either. The prices are going up due to tariffs on components. So not raising price at this point is the same thing as cutting price before tariffs.

Why not drop price of Air instead of "Air Credit" on invoice?

Right but a $100K car discounted to $80K is still a $100K car to fix and insure and replace. Your body shop costs are not going down because you got a 'deal' at the right time of the year.

Starting to regret getting this car...

I wonder why they don't just offer to hotswap the car with a different VIN with identical configuration. Would have to redo some paperwork but otherwise he would actually get the good car he was supposed to get in the first place and things would be solved.
