Lucid Support refusing to provide Support?

My experience is that they respond immediately when you call if it is something critical. I had a battery coolant issue I reported on a Sat,. As promised, they called me on Sun to tell me that the local service center will contact me on Mon. On Mon morning the local service center delivered a...

    Pure vs grand touring

Yes. Better than wearing a hat I guess. Luckily once I have my pure back from service I will be a happy camper.

    EA Megathread

I don't like to push it below 20% unless I know for sure that a station is available and working or there is an evgo or chargepoint nearby

I called Millbrae Service center today and they picked up immediately between 10:30am and 4pm. Fantastic service.

    Pure vs grand touring

My air pure awd 19 inch wheels was in service recently and I had 2 different loaners. Both GT and one had 19inch wheels and the other 21. The feel of the 19inch one was identical to mine. From Millbrae to Fremont 30 miles in traffic i drove all the 3 in hot weather 90 to 95F sunny. The 21inch...

    2.4.10 Update

That happened also to my pure awd dd pro after update from 2 4.0 to 2.4.3. Apparently 2.4.4 is identical to 2.4.3. This update apparently uses the cameras in the pillar and if HA stops working, you have to take it for recalibration.

Lucid Air as a car to teach my teenage daughter driving?

Don't. This car is too powerful and very expensive in case of accident. Buy a cheap used suv instead.

    2.4.10 Update

There were so many issues with 2.4.x that you did not have to deal with.

What is a reasonable winter range expectation for my new Touring?

My experience at that temp at 70mph similar load was 3.5 miles per kWh. At 75 to 80mph I would expect 3.3 in your case. However pay attention to the miles per KWh since last charge because that includes the HVAC, Battery Management system etc. That is the real number.

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

Oh. I just realized that mine first got 2.4.0 and it was working fine. Then came 2.4.3 yesterday and it broke HA and ACC. Perhaps 2.4.4 will fix what broke in 2.4.3. However, I have a feeling that everyone will get something above 2.4.4 before there is stability but in the mean time, we have to...

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

To correct and clarify 2.4.4 broke what worked perfectly in pure awd dd pro with 2.4.0. I don't think it is a hardware problem. This update is more complex and we need to wait a bit till they can root cause it. I will post an update once it is fixed. If your car is stable with 2.3.x or earlier...

    2.4.0 / 2.4.2 / 2.4.3 / 2.4.4 OTA

Folks, don't feel bad if you did not yet get 2.4 x. In my case 2 4.0 happened to work as expected. Then came bug fixes for 2.4.0 in 2.4.0 and now I cannot even engage ACC or HA. I am guessing that it is software because no hardware changes were done in my car related to any sensors. It looks...

Confirmed: Android Auto coming this fall!

Also they could be separate teams. Since they basically said fall. it is a 3 month window which just started. So, we have to wait at least till the middle of fall perhaps mid November before we think that they are late in AA.

Confirmed: Android Auto coming this fall!

I guess technically until Dec 21 start of winter it is still fall. So let us give Lucid time to focus on 2 4.4 rollout and Gravity. Those of us who badly wanted AA got carlinkit anyway.

    Level 2 - J1772 (@32A) charging questions

Actually for a longer battery life, depth of charge how low you let it go before charging is important. If you need let us say 60% soc per week, charging 2 times 50 to 80 is better than 3 times 40 to 60.

    80% vs 100% charge

There are lot of studies on this topic and I posted the details. Here is what is considered best for long life of battery. On a daily basis best to maintain between 40% and 80% Before a long distance trip OK to charge to 100% but ideal if DC fast charge is to 90 and top of 10% before driving...
