Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

19-80 in 35 minutes is close to best case scenario. 10-80 would probably be a tiny bit slower. Maybe 37-38 minutes

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

Sure...pack size comparison makes it even worse for Lucid. Tesla's 75 or 100kwh packs both charge in 25 minutes. Porsche's 100kwh pack takes 17 minutes. Porsche's old 90kwh packs took 22 mins. Lucid's 90kwh pack takes 37 mins, and 112 pack takes 35 mins.

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

I would be happy if they could get 10-80% to match Tesla's 25 min curve honestly...i think 30 mins is the threshold of starting to get antsy for me.

Real world range touring 19 inch wheels

My lifetime average is 3.3 in a 2016 model S. My lifetime average in my much more modern and supposedly efficient 2023 Lucid is 3.1. I’ll take screenshots for you if you want… But again, I’m agreeing that the Lucid is way more efficient above 55mph. Take the win man

Real world range touring 19 inch wheels

Unfortunately i think it’s impossible to simulate the exact same city driving conditions, so I don’t have any data, but a model 3 will easily do 4+ miles/kwh around town, but at 70mph, that will drop to 3.5. Lucid will do the inverse.

Real world range touring 19 inch wheels

Couple of clarifying questions in that case 1. Are you looking at since last charged or Trip A? 2. Did you reset trip A immediately after jumping on the freeway and settling into 70-75? Or are You including accelerating on to the freeway? 3. Did you gain any altitude overall for the trip? 4...

Real world range touring 19 inch wheels

yup, unfortunately that’s what you’re going to get. The Lucid is not efficient in daily city driving. Teslas…even the big boys Model S or even Model X is far more efficient just putting around town. (People will disagree with me, but it’s true lol). The Lucid motors are tuned for 65-70mph...

Front Camera option for basic non-DDP models

Correct, but since DreamDrive cars don’t have any cameras, it can not simulate a Birds Eye view.

Front Camera option for basic non-DDP models

It’s not synthetic. It uses actual cameras around the car and then “stitches” them together to create a birds-eye view. Every car with a surround view option has multiple cameras. I believe you have a Rivian right? Go look around, there are cameras in every mirror and front that face down to...

    Gravity Orders Discussion

The Japanese “ate Detroit’s lunch” (and the Germans) by providing competing products that were not only more reliable and well built, but half the price of their German and American competitors. Once they built a reputation, sales volume, and loyalty, their pricing moved more inline with the...

Auto Heated Seats & Steering Wheel?

There’s already a setting for auto-seat and steering wheel conditioning. It just doesn’t work. It’s a bug that Lucid has to fix.

Ceramic my lease? (high-end shop would do it)

You can absolutely do it, and there will be 0 consequences. It's just like waxing your car. Don't worry about it.

Auto Heated Seats & Steering Wheel?

Same. It doesn’t work properly. The only thing that gives me consolation is that it does “remember” your setting from the last drive. For me during the winter I tend to keep heated seats on indefinitely. So I don’t usually have to mess with it on my next drive since they will still be on.

Tesla Model 3 vs. Lucid Air Pure

Not sure if you've seen this https://www.greencarreports.com/news/1140189_caterham-project-v-concept-previews-lightweight-electric-sports-car Similar concept. Basically use a small battery (55kwh), ambitious target of <3000lbs with 200 miles of range. Which i think might be enough for an...

Real world range touring 19 inch wheels

Wow That's awesome! 2025 must have some amazing updates. I'm following your posts to see when you're able to hit EPA rated lifetime efficiency! I'm rooting for you! I think as the temps warm up, you should be able to get there. I believe EPA is about 4.3 miles/kw for 2025 GT?

    Gravity; SUV or Minivan

You keep saying you wish there was a minivan on Lucid’s platform. So what’s wrong with saying that the Gravity fits your use case for that? It’s like you’re ashamed for the Gravity. I think it’s pretty obvious that they combined elements of SUV and Minivan to make the Gravity. If you’re a...
