Lucid Mobile App – UX Observations & Curious if Others Feel the Same

Isn't that what the rest of my post was?

Lucid Mobile App – UX Observations & Curious if Others Feel the Same

Functionality wise there's a lot (A LOT) to be desired, but to me the stupidest thing is about what we have is that when the vehicle is plugged in there is no more "waking up" wheel when you first open the app to wake up the car. It just sits there and the only reason you even know it's...

    Front driver's mat recall

This probably isn't going to help me get the sold out all-weather mats from the referral store 🥲

Thoughts on moving from a Model 3 to Air Touring?

I just did this move from a 2020 Swasticar3. You'll likely miss a lot of things, but one thing I can say with absolute certainty is that anything relating to the driving experience will not be one of them. It's night and day better and won't at all feel bulky like you're worried about. It is...

    Software issues

Haha I like that you bolded a part of my quote and then replied in a manner that had nothing to do with my point. Let me try. "Yep! Like stockpiling batteries so you can change them every week, keeping faraday bags bulging out of your fannie pack, and coping with a product that never improves...

I currently have a Telsa cable (at home charging), what adaptor can I use to charge a Lucid Air Pure?

Well they're not out yet but I was assuming there would be the AC for home charging as well.

I currently have a Telsa cable (at home charging), what adaptor can I use to charge a Lucid Air Pure?

Honestly I think TeslaTap Mini is the correct answer. Yes very expensive, but even those higher end Lectron ones get crazy hot. Seeing links for $40 brands I've never heard of is wild. TeslaTap never breaks a sweat. That being said Lucid's adapter will be available in Q2 of this year, so...

    Software issues

I feel you OP and I agree with you on a lot of what you said. I don't think you have an unpopular opinion, the UI and SW are indeed subpar. I'm also a new owner and I've already made posts like this. When you ask for help with mobile key and people say "use a FOB like your grandpa did", that is...

    How to use 51000 points

There is literally a 10,000 point factory tour available now with a date of June 26th. Go get it!

Does your AM/FM radio work reliably? Mine does not

Yup, very weak signal here too. To be honest I was surprised to even see AM as an option, I had thought there was something about AM and interference when it comes to EVs. Whatever they did to make it "work" is terrible, FM wasnt much better. Anytime the internet goes out I'll opt for silence...

Charging cable no longer included with delivery?

Agreed and I made sure to include that in my delivery survey.. pretty ridiculous at this price point to not include the cable IMO. I immediately asked if they expected the charging equipment to be included with my trade-in (swasticar), and when they said no I went right back outside and took it...

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

Interesting addendum: there is a setting under Apps> Special App Access called "Unrestricted mobile data". I only have 2 apps toggled on this list, Carrier Services and Google Play. I added LUCID there to test. Whenever it forces itself back to "Optimized" in the setting we've been talking...

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

I appreciate the thought, however that toggle is off for me as well. I've also left it on with other apps I mentioned earlier (that I use Unrestricted for without issue) so I don't think it is related. Good to try all the theories though, like Bob said you can't always rely on logic!

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

Interesting that we're all Pixels. Bob said earlier he has a Pixel 9, and I'm still on the Pixel 6 Pro waiting for the 10. Also Android 15/April 5th like the rest of you. I'd be surprised if the 8 was actually the difference in yours working, must be something else going on if you're not mistaken.

    OTA Update 2.6.16

I don't think it does. After the update I had to re-enable Bluetooth in the car, however I got into the car using the mobile key passive unlock before I did that. There are two separate Bluetooth connections for LUCID, one for media and the other for only mobile key. It would seem the mobile...

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

Hmmm, I think there's enough people confirming that it eventually forces it's way back to Optimized that contrarians should probably provide additional specs (phone/version/etc) when saying otherwise.

Android users, can you check this setting? (Unrestricted background battery)

The reason I went immediately to this setting upon getting my vehicle is because it fixed functionality for several other of my apps. On the golf course I have an app that gives my watch distances to greens/hazards/etc. The phone sits in my golf bag the entire round and you're obviously not...

    OTA Update 2.6.16

I don't have DDP but Bluetooth connectivity might be a boon. Any time I notice the mobile key being sluggish I always check my phone's Bluetooth devices and often see it isn't even connected to the car yet (when it works properly I've seen it connect from wayyyy across a parking lot).

Trading In a Car for a Lucid

Carvana offered me 21,400 for my trade-in, LUCID gave me 22,821(+2000). So considerably more. YMMV.
