I plan to go. Who else is planning to meet at the Stanley Hotel lot?

Colorado Meet Up and Drive (October 14th or 15th?)

Sunday is fine with me. although Sat. is better. Traffic will probably be heavy on both days. Five minutes of darkness is an exciting event so no determent for me.

    LUCID Ceramic Brake Upgrade?

I rarely use the brakes in my AGT and have not been tested on their stopping power. My gut is that they are not as powerful as Porsche breaks either CCBs or iron rotors, but they are not designed for closed-circuit use, like Porsches. So, I leave more space between me and the car ahead. Carbon...

To Spare or not to Spare

The 20" wheels were my preference also but were not available last fall when I got my car. I am not sure that winter compound tires to fit the Lucid 20" wheels were available last winter anyway so the 19s got me through the New England winter on Sotto Zeros. The 20s with the right pressure ride...

To Spare or not to Spare

    I have not researched alternatives.

To Spare or not to Spare

I have had an EZ Spare and used it once in my garage. I got the EZ Spare before alternatives were available last fall. It fits nicely in the bottom of the frunk. Unless there is a sidewall failure it is better to use an air pump to restore the tire to drive a short distance to a repair facility...

What does everyone think of one-pedal driving in EVs?

One-pedal driving is very predictable and easy. I rarely need to use the brakes. It is also nice to watch the charge increase on long descents when leaving high elevations in CO. It definitely takes the sting out of the inefficiency when ascending those mountains. I recently drove an ICE car...

    RESOLVED Is motor whine normal?

I favor the whine as I expressed above in previous posts with a comparison to sports exhausts of an especially effective one that grew tiresome. What I like about my AGT is that the whine conveys the power of the motors. I do not know if it is just the front motor that one hears or the rear or...

    Driving in heavy rain

It is not just snow and ice but when the temperature falls below 40 degrees the compound hardens and even on dry surfaces has less than optimal traction. Winter compound tires stay pliable and the tread design provides traction in ice and snow. Stopping distances are much less than on summer...

    2023 Software Updates

My 2.1.20 loaded with no problem. I have not noticed a difference in the images but to me, the cameras and sensors were perfectly effective before the recent OTA. I continue to be impressed by the efforts to improve all functions of the car. It is a marvel of automotive engineering if not quite...

19 vs. 20 vs. 21 tires for Touring

My Pirelli Sotto Zeros were a bit softer than the Pirelli stock AS tires and worked very well in ice and snow last winter in NH. Maybe they will be good for a few winter seasons, but if they are anything like the Alpins or Blizzaks once they wear they are ineffective in slippery conditions. My...

AGT on latest episode of Billions

Good to see a Cosmos Silver AGT with 21s on a scene in the latest episode of Billions yesterday. It looked distinctive and elegant in the two short scenes in which it appeared.

19 vs. 20 vs. 21 tires for Touring

I got 19s because 20s were not available when my car was ready for delivery in early Oct. last year. I ran winter compound tires and will use them from Nov to April. I have had two AGT loaners, one with 21s and one with 20s. I found the ride much smoother and the handling much better with the...

    One-Year Review

Thank you for your review. After 12,700 miles my experience is similar, although my efficiency is a bit less probably due to driving in freezing weather for 5 months and then 90 degrees plus for a few months. Aside from the attributes that JJ_5 recounts, the pure joy of driving the AGT with its...

Lucid Air GT 0-60 dragy numbers

Good to know and not surprising. The car is incredible compared to anything car on the road in multiple dimensions, not just acceleration, in which it excels.

Electrify America gets a new VP of technology

Sounds promising. Is there any available measure of EA's network performance? Surely EA has metrics, but are there any publicly available statistics? The new person definitely has a lot of work ahead of him.

How Much Range Are You Actually Getting?

At 12,000 miles and in the warmer weather my efficiency has recently been at or above 3.5 mi./kWh and on some 100 miles trips over 4. Most trips are short, like no more than 20 miles. No change in driving style, which is rarely above 75 mph and on 19" AS tires and no Aero blades. I got 3.6 for...

    My Road Trip Experiences

Good perspective. Although at the Chicopee MA EA in the winter, I never got more than about 150 regardless of SOC and always with preconditioning before charging. That was also true cross country at 150 and 350 EA stations whether empty or with other cars charging.
