    Persistent TPMS

I do not disagree but note that the TPMS flashes a low-pressure warning within a small margin of variation from spec. Perhaps the PSI readings should be more easily accessible, but it is not at the top of my wish list. I have had several punctures that produced slow pressure leaks and the TMPS...

State of Charge video on Lucid Motors

Rawlinson is brilliant. Not just a car guy and engineer, but a phenomenal technical and design master. (Form follows function). Most car people, much less the general public have any clue about the attributes of Lucid vehicles. Rather they focus on finding fault with the charging network, the...

Help me enjoy my Lucid more

I appreciate your inquiry. Firstly, never drive dangerously. I derive satisfaction at normal speeds, but to each his or her own I suppose. The dynamic and range capabilities of the Air are simply not available on alternatives at any price IMO. For me, it is the optimal car for short or...

Car won't charge all of a sudden

Is your outlet a GFCI? I recollect that when I had my ChargePoint Flex installed it specified no GFCI. I just depended on my electrician. I did not have any interruption with charging either with the CP system or after it was removed before I moved a 14-50 outlet and the Lucid cable. Just an idea.

    Wind noise

OK, so blasting each part of the door with high-pressure, concentrated air blasts is supposed to prove what? Unless I get sideways on a road at speed, in which case the last thing on my mind would be wind noise, I am sorry but what is the point? After 16,000 miles I have yet to notice any...

Winter driving observations from a newbie

Hey Cos: Be certain to set re-gen to low. I do not shift into neutral unless going through the car wash. I am not sure if the is a failsafe that prevents shifting into park while moving, but imagine that there is. Otherwise, you know the drill in slick conditions. We had zero-degree days here for...

Well here it is Tesla Plaid versus Lucid Air Sapphire on the same day in the same place~ no excuses!

Straight-line acceleration gets a lot of attention, but after a few launch control starts the novelty wore off for me in my Turbo S. Anyway, who tracks large sedans? Sure, on long straights bhp matters, but over an entire circuit there are more important variables to consider. To me the overall...

    Charge failure in “cold” weather

I charged my AGT at an EA 150 kWh station in zero-degree weather the other day north of Denver and although the energy limited message was on for about 15 minutes the car charged. Slowly at first at like 40 kWh but after ten minutes or so it increased to about 80 kWh. Yes. it took longer to...

    First Road Trip Range Readings

Interesting about coal lobbying. CO generates over 37% of its electricity from coal-fired generators, yet has many EA stations. I would think that anything that uses electric energy would be popular in WV, but of course, the per capita income is not high so EV adoption is probably quite low.

    First Road Trip Range Readings

I do not know to what I should attribute the complete absence of EA stations in WV, so maybe hate is a bit strong. What do you attribute it to? FWIW, I will be in Williamsburg and the closest EA station is in Newport News over 25 miles away. The next closest ones are to the north and west of...

    First Road Trip Range Readings

Right. I will have to divert south to NC to avoid WV on my spring drive east from CO to VA. UFB. Lots of hate for EVs in WV. Not much better in VA.

2022 Grand Touring Performance and 19" tires

I am not a tire guru, just someone who for over 20 years has run winter compound from Nov to April in New England. Tire sizes have ranged from 18" to 20" mostly with staggered front and rear sizes. Brands have included Michelin, Pirelli, Continental, and Bridgestone. Nokian makes perhaps the...

Not for me. I believe that the 49 psi difference results in a firmer ride/rebound.

2022 Grand Touring Performance and 19" tires

I have 19s on my AGT and have driven loaner AGTs with 20s and 21s, both of which have better corning and perhaps surprisingly, softer rides. I am not a hotfoot so the 19s are fine. i would not drive summer compound tires of any size in freezing temperatures and have used winter tires for two...

    Major Breaking issue

I am glad that nobody was injured and have no doubt that the owner believes that the brake was applied, but did not stop the car. In every car that I have owned, including high-power Porsches, Audis, and MBs the brakes could overcome the engine power/accelerator. Witness, for example, the 991...

I'm Considering a Class Action Suit

Sadly, the class action owners do not appreciate how hard the entire Lucid staff works to resolve problems and that a non-adversarial approach is the best to address and solve problems.

The good, bad and the ugly

I can appreciate the OP's frustration and sentiments about going back to ICE. Sorry that Lucid did not meet his expectations. There are many impressive ICE alternatives in a wide price range. Yes, the EA network is unreliable, although I made it cross-country on a 2,000-mile drive in freezing...
