    Gravity Delivery Discussion

Well, whether Lucid is compelled by law to inform the commuunity about its product ramps is not the salient question. The lack-of communication will leave ample room for speculation, witness the LCID stock performance this week! By most accounts, Gavity is a great technical product. But, at a...

    Gravity Delivery Discussion

I presume US is still the largest market for Lucid Air and Gravity. Yes, Lucid is primarily owned by KSA investments. Shouldn't Lucid USA be more forthcoming in its communicationand expectation setting? Disappointment = Excetectaions-Not-Met. It is incumbent on Lucid to set, communicate...

Finally in production. I'd give the ordering process a D+

I agree with @thyname's perspective. That said, what does @L-Dude's experience tell us about the current Gravity production ramp? Yes, I know all new product ramps have glitches and fits-and-starts. Glancing at the recent posts, it seems like Lucid is trying to sell the Air's inventory (vs...

May I ask why you are trying to get out of the lease?

    Lucid Navigation Opinions

In most cases, there is more than one route to get from point A to Point B. The question herein is not whether one would EVENTUALLY get there, the utility of a navigation system is help route you plan your route in an optimal way. I don't want to repeat what I said earlier. You can go back...

    Lucid Navigation Opinions

Yes, I agree there are more than one road that lead to Rome. If you are coming from South Bay, you might be going through Oakland. But, I was already beyond San Pablo, way north of Oakland. Wouldn't you be alarmed that Lucid's navigation is then routing you to go through Oakland to go to Concord?

    Lucid Navigation vs Google Maps

I appreciate the tutorial in battery temperature vs charging speed. But that wasn't what I was talking about. Let's get grounded in some fundamentals: > charging batteries is a thermodynamic process. As such, it is temperature dependent. "Typically", higher temperatures is favorable to...

    Lucid Navigation Opinions

While I appreciate @borski's insightful tutorial of how one can correct Lucid/HERE map's routing errors, in my prior example of driving from Sausalito to Concord (CA), I wasn't looking for a small, out of the way place. I was looking to COSTCO in Concord! I have never driven to Concord before...

BTW, if you look, there were a few recent posting by other users of similar problems. It is not just me.

    Lucid Navigation Opinions

I did. I used it 3 weeks ago to take me from Sausalito to Concorde. I was low on my phone battery. Without exaggeration, it routed me all over the map, going in the wrong directions. I had to exit the highway and re-routed with my phone. I have no confidence in the built-in navigation.

    Lucid Navigation Opinions

I stopped using Lucid's navigation (based on HERE maps) a couple of months after I got the car (in 2022). It is slow and error prone. I am not talking just about the occasional non-optimal routing. I am talking the navigation can send you to destinations miles, tens of miles, away from where...

    Lucid Navigation vs Google Maps

True! But I often wonder about the efficacy and benefits of preconditioning in real-life. Not disputing that if you have a cold battery, charging will start slower than optimal. I drive a lot of long distance. Frankly, on my long road trip charging stops, there is little benefit in...

Anyone up for auto insurance rate comparisons?

I think if you want to store your car for a long time (say 1-2 years) and don't want to pay registration, then you have to notify the DMV. if you re storing it for 4-6 months, the car is still registered, but you pay a substantially reduce insurance premium. Needless to say, if someone stole...

Anyone up for auto insurance rate comparisons?

Nope! The car is still registered with AZDMV. It sits in the garage. Make sure you keep it charged (to say, 60-70% Soc). It still gets to OTAs. Call your insurance agent and tell him/her you are driving the other car and put this one on "storage". Since it is not being driven , the...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

Obviously.... I recall vividly....I got my AGT in Oct 2022. A couple of weeks later, a mobile tech came to my home to replace the steering wheel because a button has fallen off. He gave me a bag of FAB batteries. I though it was unusual and generous. AA was promised 3 years ago. in 2024...

Lucid Air's Number One Software Issue?

I agree with you regarding Lucid's (mis) handling of its SW issues. The mobile key issues and AA have been here a long time with little to no communications. Some moderator kept dismissing the concerns as "user error". AA has been promised over and over again with no outcome. The last-straw...

Tired of lack of Android support

True that AA is not the "Be-all-and-end-all". I am sure you know the difference is, both Rivian and Tesla have a lot more resources and history in auto-SW development than Lucid. I can't speak for either. I never own or driven a Tesla. But I own a 2023-R1S. In short, I am not necessarily...

    Software Improvements and Features Suggestions

Yup! Part of Lucid's rhetoric from 3-4 years ago was contrasting Lucid's engineering-based approach to development vs Tesla's exaggerated promises (e.g. FSD, poor quality control, etc.). While Lucid's delivered good results on its drivetrains (yes, industry-leading, though not as far ahead...

    Lucid Navigation vs Google Maps

Yup, that's my experience as well. Nowadays, I hardly ever use Lucid's navigation. It is basically useless. A few days ago, I was trying to find Costco in Concorde CA. Since I've never been to Concorde (driving from Sausalito), I needed navigation. My phone mount in my AGT is at a place I...
