Really, really favorable review of Hey, Lucid...

I have to confess that I haven't asked it about items in the manual. However, I have tried "Navigate to LAX (sometimes including "International Airport)" and "Navigate to Tom Bradley International Terminal" in what I think is unaccented English without any luck.

Really, really favorable review of Hey, Lucid...

Today, Green Car Reports posted perhaps the most favorable possible review of SoundHound's Hey Lucid and the transition from Amazon Alexa. Clearly, they didn't read this forum before printing the article. The only interesting thing is it does give some background to Lucid Motors' thinking behind...

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

I think this is a really important point. I also use EA nearly exclusively except for rare occasions charging to 90 or 100% before a trip. I've lost a bit more than 1% in 21 months and <12k miles. The flip side of a conservative charging curve is how good my AT is on battery degradation.

Beyond the Charging Curve: What Are Your Real-World DCFC Speeds?

I am considerably less frustrated by the charging curve issue since EA upgraded the nearest charging stations and reduced the wait time considerably. However, the charging curve is one of the two places where Lucid set expectations too high in comparison with real-world experience (efficiency...

Does DreamDrive Premium show nearby vehicles when on highway?

No, but the point is well-taken that Lucid could implement a cameras-only approach for those cars built that do not have LIDAR.

    DreamDrive Premium and HA

Originally, HA and all of its features were supposed to depend on the number of cameras and LIDAR, so all Air Pures and some ATs were not HA-capable. However, basic lane centering should be able to be accomplished with the cameras on any of the Lucid Air trims. Given the confusion (to this day)...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

If Android Auto is not implemented in the Lucid Air by December 2024 2025, I hereby threaten to buy an iPhone. 😮‍💨

    EA Megathread

Here's one near a large mall, close to Nordstrom's. But, yes, all EA stations seem to be listed in Google Maps. I didn't notice the "Tesla being removed" photo, but that's hysterical.

    EA Megathread

EA upgraded a station ~5 minutes from my house. So I confess to always charging there while it is free. But the trick is to use Google Maps, which has a "live" view of how busy it is. So when it isn't busy, I sneak in and wait maybe 5 minutes and charge up to 80% in the winter, 75% in the...

For longer battery life: drive it like you stole it

Hmmm. I think that the most important take-home point is that the previous method of testing - continuous use with daily charging - is the worst one for battery life. So, this is good news, but it's still a little counterintuitive that the harshest driving conditions in terms of acceleration and...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

But what would we do with our Thursdays if we had Android Auto in our Lucids?:(

    Issues with my car

In the 2024.44.1 Tesla OTA Update, my Model X lost all autopilot functionality. I learned about it while driving at night in a carpool lane. While 2044.44.4 fixed the bug (for me), I received no warning about it from Tesla even though they had to have known right away (from the Tesla forum, at...

    Issues with my car

My 2016 AP2 Model X, two years after purchase no longer correctly identified the profile, most frequently simply choosing the last driver's profile. Tesla simply decided not to fix this glaring software bug and nearly eight years into ownership and ~eight requests to fix this, they have ignored...

Why is No One Talking About All of the Improvements to the 2025 GT?!?

Everyone is commenting on the motor whine (which I like), but what about #8: Huh? Did battery chemistry do that or did Lucid adjust the charging curve independent of battery chemistry for the 2025s? I would love to see a less conservative charging curve, assuming it doesn't brick the battery in...

    RESOLVED Android Auto Thursday

Happy Thursday. I would note that the OTA Showcase Event is scheduled for next Thursday. Anyone else thinking an AA announcement could be part of it?

Is it a one- or two-day event (Dec. 12-13th)?

10,000 mile review - the good and the not-so-good, but nothing ugly

After ~20 months and 10,000 miles of driving an Air Touring, I can now make a reasonable balance sheet. I'm going to starts with picking nits. I'll avoid topics like "Hey Lucid," because there are really long discussions about this and only once did it try to navigate me to the south of...

Very Hopeful for Enhanced DD Premium features for Air

Dashcam wasn't promised, AA was promised "real soon" by sales agents and my delivery agent. I could see how a dashcam sounds ordinary, but I was just measuring expectations.

Very Hopeful for Enhanced DD Premium features for Air

I picked up my AT in March 2023, right after the announcement of a round of layoffs. Having gone through the early Tesla routine of overpromising and underdelivering, I yanked the DDPro order from my options. I'm happy to say that Lucid is catching up (Android Auto soon?) and sometimes exceeding...
