    Software update 2.3.0

Woke up to update notification, initiated from the comfort of my bed. Took about 90 min to install. I’m not on the early update list.

    Stella arrives in San Francisco

I believe CA DMV started it about 2 years ago, and my recollection was that I still had to go through CA DMV site to start the application process and upload all my docs and when it came time to schedule, AAA was offered as an appointment option. Office locations were limited, but fortunately...

    Software update 2.3.0

Yep ... I get a front emergency braking and lane keep assist error as well. Speed limit sign detection also doesn't work. Happens only when I park outside in the blazing heat!! I did have my Fasttrak transponder mounted right uniter the mirror/camera assembly which was possibly blocking some...

    Stella arrives in San Francisco

I did my RealID last year at AAA (Riverside CA). Only select AAA locations can do it and still requires appointment. Was pretty quick once I got there. I was most worried about the vision test as I have my contacts set up for mono vision (one for reading, one for distance)!! Welcome to CA @joec

    Software update 2.3.0

Yep ... I got the survey as well. My response was overall positive except for the UX experience. I really hope that UX 3.0 improves the usability significantly!!!

    EA Megathread

    Oops … unintended consequences.

    2.2.10

had it happen again today under very similar conditions (Costco run). First time Temp was in the low 90's, today high 90's. Sun was pretty much overhead in both situations and had cabin AC keep mode enabled. @mcr16 ... is this a known issue that can be addressed by service team? I'm not sure...

RESOLVED Does the new car has first aid kit included?

I had to use the one in my A8 years ago when some kids in a Target parking lot were playing and fell off their bikes. One kid scraped up his knee pretty bad. Gave him some alcohol swabs and a bandage. I still keep a first aid kit in each car just in case, better to be safe than sorry.

    MyQ Opener

You can purchase an inexpensive module to add to your existing openers to make them MyQ compatible. I did this for my sister, works perfectly. No need to change out your existing openers. https://www.amazon.com/Smart-Garage-Opener-Chamberlain-myQ-G0401/dp/B08GD3D9YJ

    2.2.10

I didn’t notice that on my initial drive. Now that the car has cooled down, errors have cleared. Maybe heat was trapped in the camera module on the windshield by my sunshade. I’ll have to test again

    2.2.10

I had the AC left on the entire time I was in the store, and still received the error as well as the entire drive home. I'll need to check the vehicle later once it cools down in my garage.

    2.2.10

Updated this morning, decided to make a Costco run during lunchtime. Temps in the low 90's, parked and kept climate running. Came back in about 1.5 hrs, when I went to drive the below two icons (ignore the dusty screen, waiting for the weekend for a bath) were showing and speed limit signs...

    FOB battery

More information is at https://www.lucidupdates.com/faq.html I keep my fob in a faraday pouch which has extended the battery life as well

    An eye shape warning indicator

Yep ... I quickly turned mine off as just about any glance away from the road (i.e. mirrors, navigation) triggered a warning. I haven't reenabled to see if Lucid adjusted it's sensitivity.

Lightly-used EQS is now less expensive than a new Model 3 LR

It was really on densely populated streets in Long Beach, but seemed ok, nothing jumped out at me

    Leaving Colorado

Hopefully you will have indoor and secure parking in SF ... it's a nightmare there with all the smashed windows "looking" for valuables. My Niece keeps her car inside their garage (fortunately to have a 3 car one) and only drives the car outside the city ... Ubers everywhere in town.

    Drove a Kia EV9

Kia/Hyundai make some pretty compelling vehicles. I owned a Telluride for 2 years and sold it during the pandemic for more than I paid for it. If they could solve their dealer and service departments, they would be doing even better. I had some pretty bad (and slimy) experiences with sales...

Lightly-used EQS is now less expensive than a new Model 3 LR

I just drove an EQS SUV at a MB focus group. I the ride was very smooth and comparable to Lucid. I did not like regen at all.
