Yes … I recall they were understandably stingy about people changing them out as a preventative measure. I had to tell them my car is down and isn't going anywhere just to get the one.

The fronts likely track along a different line than the rear and the rears are wider allowing them to possibly still be supported through the pothole ... it's all sheer luck which one can blow, but the I'm guessing the fronts are more vulnerable just because they will get deeper into a pothole...

I've been running an LM2 on my front passenger side since the LM1 on there exploded in a pothole ... so far so good on the LM2. FWIW, this is a picture of the sidewall construction on the LM1: The only way to tell you have an LM2:

Thanks for citing the article. After reviewing it, it seemed the author is confusing wheel diameter with tread width. Having wider wheels/tires in the back makes sense and many cars have staggard wheel fitments with the wider tread (not bigger wheel diameter) in back for the reasons cited in...

Sure .. staggard is very common. The Sapphire happens to be both staggard AND different wheel diameters. I've seen different wheel diameters on some hyper cars, but I'm guessing there is more to it than just aesthetics?

Does anyone here know or venture to guess why the Sapphire has 20" wheels in the front and 21" wheels in the back? Why wouldn't they go with either 20" all around or 21" all around?

I hate to think it, but to a manufacturer, it is quite costly to inventory multiple battery pack part numbers that only have a physical 6 kWh variance. Perhaps it is possible to get the extra 6 kWh from controls or software?

Very interesting. Perhaps they cherry picked battery packs with the 6 extra kWh and threw them into the Dreams? Which could mean that any battery pack replacements will be 112 kWh versions?

I assume you mean a new 2024 GT vs a used 2022 GT-P? A used 2022 GT-P would be a pretty rare find since I believe there are even fewer GT-P's than DE-P's produced (fact check needed here)? Stumbling on new untitled GT-P would be a unicorn. Lucid will likely give you the depreciated price on...

Best way to verify power output is through VIN lookup: https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/ Locate Engine Power in kW and multiply by 1.34102 to get hp. For my GT-P, it is 1050 hp as expected.

Producing better times on a prepped track shows slicks at all four corners would help ... that is unless something breaks from the excessive torque.

Having a few extra bodies step out of the Sapphire after the run would have also been good too. ;)
