My observation is that its better/quieter at certain speeds and driving conditions. Haven't quite worked out what those are yet, but there times where I definitely don't hear the whine when I did before.

Yeah. I think it’s hung doing something or waiting for something in the vehicle.

Unfortunately I only use the fob and it still happens to me when removing off charge. Hasn’t happened so far when not on charge. (Fingers crossed)

@borski had a good triage idea. Can we all post their Air spec to see if there’s anything common in our Drive issues. For me… 2024 Air Touring; DD Premium, Surreal Sound. 19” wheels. Aluminum roof.

They’ve definitely made code changes to the main cockpit display, as can be seen by the smoother Charge/Power animation as well as the smoother left/right camera in 2.6.16. I’m one of those that’s had the car fail to go on to drive twice now, after charging. Never had a problem in the last year...

This did start happening after I received a “Rear emergency Breaking Unavailable” warning the day after upgrading. I rebooted a couple of times to clear it and the next morning got this. Anybody else get the emergency break warning as well?

I will be interested to hear what your service appointment says.

I really hope that isn’t the case for me too. It’s annoying enough first thing in the morning. Only other thing I can think of is there’s some other fault that the boot up process is more sensitive too now in 2.6.16. May need to get service to look at it. Will text them on Monday.

Yeah my sense is that the code running in the main cockpit screen is stuck in some loop attempting to wake up. Even the reboot process looks weird when it’s in that state. I haven’t waited the few minutes that some have done, to see if it eventually clears. I did exit the vehicle the first time...

@marqie do you know if Lucid is aware of this issue? I’m needing to reboot my car after every time I charge, to drive. The main cockpit is completely unresponsive and won’t go in to drive. No ready symbol. Just the PRND on screen. This isn’t acceptable. I do hope there’s a quick turn around with...

Yeah. Commented in the other thread. Happened yesterday when I got in after charging overnight. Wouldn’t go in to Drive. Exited the car to let it sleep for 30 seconds. When I came back it was still awake but when I got back in the cockpit reset back to the Lucid logo and rebooted. After that it...

This exact same thing happened to me this morning after unplugging. I exited the vehicle and then the cockpit crashed and rebooted and then I was fine.

Will give it a go and report back.

I think that's right. Its quieter with less throttle as far as I can tell.
