Yea I had some doubts on this too, and it doesn't help that the shops using the STEK are quote much higher prices for full body PPF. I'm considering a different shop that's still well reviewed but uses 3M PPF, and then getting ceramic coating on top of that.

The places in the Seattle area I reached out to that use STEK said more or less the same thing, that since they use STEK PPF, I don't need Ceramic coating except on the glass and wheels.

Don't have any personal experience but I have heard good things about Bespoke Tint and PPF also in Bellevue, and they quoted me a pretty reasonable $6500 full body PPF. I haven't gotten a quote from Eastside Auto Salon yet, but alot of the other places I've reached out to with good reviews are...

DA reachout seems really inconsistent/random. I confirmed 10/27 and just got an email from a DA today at 5pm. The email was just a brief intro and a link to Calendly to set up a call, and the earliest available was next Monday at 3pm.

Did they mention if they were going in order based on reservation date or confirmation date?

Are we supposed to get a reach out from an SA upon completing the reservation? I confirmed last week with an Dec. 2020 initial reservation and haven't heard anything. Does getting reached out mean you're likely to get the car sooner 🤔?

Does the PPF end right on the edge of the car panel or was it more "tucked in" so the edge of the film isn't visible? Not that this would have prevented the peeling (I don't think), but I've heard that one of the differentiators of a "great" PPF installer is that they tuck in the edges so that...

Does anyone know what the rough timeline is of when I'll need to provide payment after the reservation? I'll be securing financing so I don't want to apply to lenders too early since I think rates are only locked for a short period of time.
