Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I also don't like the black wheels for a different reason. I grew up in a world where cheap cars had steel wheels painted black, cars that wanted to appear nicer had the same wheels, but silvery hub caps that snapped over them, and cars that cared about handling came with alloy wheels painted...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

And every time I see a poorly designed EV I keep hearing echoes of "my friend had an EV and here is the unconscionable problem with it and why I'll never even think of owning one" comments I've heard over the years. If the Escalade is expensive to recharge then people in that segment will think...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I remember those too now, but none of them really speak to why limiting the deflection improves the feature.

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I'm not fond of these apples to oranges differences where the ride heights are set to exaggerate the differences. Minimally they should demonstrate low to low and high to high and maybe limit the low/high cross comparisons to "just for fun" after showing the apples/apples comparisons for...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I've seen that. Other than mentioning that Lucid did it right and that they have a small angle, he didn't really demonstrate or discuss why those 2 facts would be related. He implied that Lucid's system worked because it had a small angle, but there was no meat to that implication. The issue he...

Out of Spec - Gravity vs Escalade

I was a little jealous that Escalade had 10 degrees of rear wheel steering, but it still takes 39'4" to turn it around (Gravity uses 38' with <?5? degrees RWS). They make a big deal about "arrival mode" which allows you to do kind of a "forward slip", but it doesn't look like a steep enough...

Some measurements from the Vegas cars.

In the second photo, what is the "24" measuring? It looks like 2 random positions on the roof? The glass part of the roof maybe?

Can you haul a 4'x8' sheet of drywall?

The Rivian bed is only 4.5 feet long so it's not great for hauling a sheet of wood like that.

Gravity specs we'd like to know

After watching the video linked from this post: https://lucidowners.com/threads/gravity-get-in-up-close-and-personal-plus-4-airs-this-week-only-in-las-vegas.11033/post-244815 I can answer a couple of my own questions: The video opens showing (0:30) that the front insert for seating also doubles...

Gravity specs we'd like to know

The mechanism is flush with the rest of the floor there, but that could be due to raising the entire floor to accomodate the space used for the tracks.

Gravity specs we'd like to know

The 2nd row has a power slide mechanism for the 7 seater version that doesn't exist in the 5 seater version as seen here...

20-ish mile range difference between 5 seat and 7 seat Gravity?

A better picture of the mechanism in this photo from reddit: https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Flucid-gravity-production-vehicle-in-las-vegas-v0-x01cvpu3hobe1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D4000%26format%3Dpjpg%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D92b7d46b4b47b487f57c52ff703a0de94355fe5d That looks...

3 Gravities at Milbrae Studio: 2 "VIP customer cars" being prepped for delivery!

And yet they came with expected delivery dates (just like Gravity when the orders opened up) that were off by orders of magnitude. The dates for Gravity are still technically within their reported time frames - deliveries start by end of last year (which they did) and come in bulk this year...

3 Gravities at Milbrae Studio: 2 "VIP customer cars" being prepped for delivery!

All of the panel gaps look very consistent except for this area. It's a lot of different body panels coming adjacent to each other along a very complex curve, though.

Gravity specs we'd like to know

Not so much a "spec", but one of the pre-pro reviews showed that the "BYOD tray table" position/angle followed the front seatback recline position. Will they attempt to decouple that in the production cars?

    Gravity Orders Discussion

I would imagine that the PIF has better information about Lucid's roadmap and plans than the average investor?
