I got a call today to mention that the DE was available for upgrading. It was nice to get a call for any reason, but since they had already sent out the emails I was thinking the call might have been more about new cars in the showroom for sitting/test driving. Alas, no. :(

It varies from $14.4k to around $18.45k depending on the options you choose. All options are free on the DE, but cost varying amounts of money on the GT. The minimum spec that mirrors a DE is $121.45k, the max spec is $125.5k. (Please check my math, I may have missed an option.)

That is if you were already getting the larger wheels on your GT that had the lower range. It's a 67 mile hit due to option omission if you wanted the extra range and were ordering the base wheels which aren't available on the DE. And an 80 mile hit if you didn't want the extra 2 seats.

Also, how do those base wheels hold up to the extra power? Maybe they only allow the upgraded wheels because the base wheels with eco-tires were pushing their limits.

I know that, I was speculating how much. Note that the range cost for 7 seats is higher if you have the upgraded wheels (21 mile loss vs 13) which means all of these numbers are relative. The best calculation I can do is 437 (GT with base wheels and 7 seats) minus 16 (DE penalty over loaded GT)...

Keep in mind the Gravity was slammed and the Escalade was on tippy-toes to exaggerate the difference, but you can still get a good idea from the picture. The picture with Kyle standing in front of it looks like a normal ride height so that is probably even more informative.
