    No retrofit will be needed and we don’t know if they are “struggling” to implement CarPlay. It’s probably mostly done and going to be released as a large update with a bunch of other improvements.

    Apple typically requires physical testing by Apple before it can be certified. Maybe they are backlogged?

    Apple actually released support for second screens in iOS 13. I really hope Lucid takes advantage of this because I only know of 1 car that does.

    Oh actually maybe the cards don’t link to profiles . I can’t remember. I’ll have to check. They call them valet cards so I don’t think they are meant to be used as everyday keys.

    Lucid is basically identical to Tesla in function besides Lucid requires a pin and Tesla doesn’t. But the pin is only to start the car without a key. You assign key cards, fobs, phone, and face to each profile just like Tesla.

    oh yea I like that idea. I might make my own sticker for it. I just leave a valet card in the glovebox.

    You would have to tell them for now. Not very intuitive. I’m going to suggest they put instructions on the screen like Tesla.

    curiously the manual doesn’t show how to start the car and actually says you have to enter the PIN if you want to drive with just the valet card.

    That does sound like Tesla. I can tell you they are missing the windows due to part shortages. There are lots of cars just sitting complete missing 1 part. The world sucks right now. I would ask for a different DA because mine was great and called me all the time.

    3 months is not that long. Lots of others have been waiting longer. You probably won’t receive an update until the DA has one. You can always reach out via email. They reply pretty quickly in my experience.
