I feel another update coming today....

It's still a new feature, however small, and Lucid is definitely not #1 in this area. No doubt other EV makers are moving quickly. I am comparing Lucid also to the likes of Mercedes, BMW, Porsche...

    Rubber like noise?

See my post about squeaks and rattles: https://lucidowners.com/threads/touring-new-delivery-issues.6752/post-158934 Also, the rear deck parcel shelf can rattle against the rear windshield, solved by sandwiching a soft material between the two. I used felt pads and problem solved. There is...

I feel another update coming today....

To be fair, it's been not even a month since the last update. Compared to most of its competitors, Lucid moves incredibly fast. However, I suspect that Bobby has an inside scoop, so I hope this is indeed an indicator of an incoming update :)

    Sprint Mode

Even on my Touring there is a pretty significant difference in Sprint. One friend compared acceleration in this mode to a plane taking off. Is there much benefit to a launch mode in this car? In a gas car you want the turbos spooled up prior to launch etc but in an EV you just slam the...

We are becoming a 2 Lucid family!

The best part of this story is your wife is OK, and the second Lucid a cherry on top!

Lucid Motors is stuck in a fight over the name of its Gravity SUV

Quite true, but I think today information is disseminated and opinions formed far more quickly than before. So Lucid must attack on more ideological fronts. As an example, luxury cars are frequently mentioned in rap music, and this can and does result in increased sales, and a place in the...

Lucid Motors is stuck in a fight over the name of its Gravity SUV

Today's 13 year olds who love cars are tomorrow's buyers. This is absolutely true for me - I would not have spent $100k+ on a car without a childhood fascination, due in no small part to successful marketing efforts.

Lucid Motors is stuck in a fight over the name of its Gravity SUV

Disagree on this point...Lucid needs to attach some kind of emotion to their product. All their promotional material I've seen, while nice looking, may as well be AI-generated. You and I know and appreciate that Lucid tech is superior but IMHO the big German luxury brands (out)sell on their...

    toll tags/rfid on windshield

The windshield was revised since the days of DE. My Touring, build date 1/2023, doesn't have this issue. (Saying this for the benefit of people who may read this and worry that if they buy a newer Air they'll have a problem.)

Does Lucid sell my driving data to third-party for auto insurance purposes?

They will be thrilled to know just how uncultured I am :p

Does Lucid sell my driving data to third-party for auto insurance purposes?

Why would the use of CarPlay prevent the car’s built in telemetry from phoning home about driving habits?

    toll tags/rfid on windshield

I used this product - silicone case and adhesive strips - to attach to the back of my dash screen assembly: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZDJJPWH And have had no issue so far, with either toll collection or transponder remaining in place. This includes several sunny summer days parked...

Motor Trend Living a Year with an Air

CR also once rated Michelob Ultra as the best beer. So while they are a useful publication, their recommendations arise from criteria that may not align with those of the crowd here.

Motor Trend Living a Year with an Air

The motor whine complaint I can understand, it was a deliberate choice not to dampen the coupling between front motor and chassis apparently? The wind noise I understand less. My car seems quieter than my old W212 E-class at the same highway speeds, and in that car the wind noise was far louder...

Motor Trend Living a Year with an Air

To echo others: Lucid has an excellently designed car, but with a lot of QC issues early on. Motor Trend can and should only report on the car in their possession, and so I don't think their criticisms are unfair. However with more recently produced cars it seems Lucid has ironed out a lot of...

HPDE tech inspection in Philly area?

Anyone around here gone to a high performance driving event in their Lucid? I am planning to go to one at NJ Motorsports Park on April 5 - first time at such an event for me. But the car needs to be safety inspected before then. Does anyone know a shop they like who will work on a Lucid?

Lucid Opening New Research and Development Office

I guess Apple realized that the margins on a car can never match what they make on the rest of their products.
