My wife will DEFINITELY want to volunteer us for that experiment. And, you really need an N = 6 to get reasonable statistical data..... 😈 Question - does the car need to be moving or is parked in the garage fine? And if a Garage is fine, does it need to be our garage or can it be in a...

Sorry, I'm pretty good at analogies, and this one isn't very good to represent your point. Try this instead..... Customer #1 - I'm worried about range with my EV, will I have enough? Lucid - Up to 520 miles range according to EPA testing results. Customer #2 - What is the Horsepower of the...

No Future For EV Pickup Trucks With Today’s Technology? What??

I don’t know the exact number, but I suspect you are close with that estimate. I see way too many “pretty trucks”, the ones without a scratch in the bed/liner and a lack of mud under their off-road tires. Trucks for image, rather than for work. I’m too judgey on this subject….

No Future For EV Pickup Trucks With Today’s Technology? What??

I got a friend who works as a handy man. Sometimes he throws his Bike (Harley) in the back of his truck. An EV would work fine for him, because he's seldom hauling anything of significant weight. And, I think he'd LOVE a F-150 lightning. But, I do also know people who haul boats/horse...

No Future For EV Pickup Trucks With Today’s Technology? What??

Hydrogen fuel cell or Natural Gas could also work for vehicle's that tow/haul things. An EV for a hauling vehicle is not the best way to do it. If you are using a pick up truck for light duty stuff, you can do the EV route. But if you are towing a boat or a horse trailer or a...

Here's a list of commonly used anacronyms (alphabet soup time) ACC = Adaptive Cruise Control AC = Air conditioning Regen = regenerative braking. Simply put, a way to reduce speed and sending energy back to the battery RATHER than using friction brakes to reduce the speed of the car. There are...

    Savini Wheels on a Lucid

Nice looking rims. Were it me (personally), I'd get the Blades as they look nicer. But......my opinion only.

    Brake lights & regen braking

I put 220,000 miles on my 2010 Prius on the original brake pads. Even after 11 years/220,000 miles, they couldn't estimate the wear because there was too much pad left to accurately estimate (per the mechanic at the shop I took it too). Regen = long brake pad life, so long as you use it properly.

Finally took a test drive today

I have a Touring (not a GT) on order and got a call for a test drive over a month ago, so it should be opening up for people. I do live in the bay area, so I could visit either the Millbrae or the Valley Fair showrooms for the test drive (did Valley Fair, as it is a shorter drive). Loved the...
