Please Help With Spotify Questions In The Air….

I have not played with Spotify in the Air but for Tidal I just logged in with my regular Tidal account and everything just worked. No need to use the phone.

12 Miles of Battery to Warm Up the Car??

If I'm doing the math right 3 kWh is enough to heat about 275 lbs of water about 35 deg F. Given the battery is probably lots heavier than that, but with a lower average specific heat, that number seems about right to me. 125 kg * 20 degC * (4 kJ / Kg degC) * (1 kWh / 3600 kJ) = 2.8 kWh

Purpose of the 2 Low Voltage 12v Batteries?

I think the climate control, lights, computers, sound system, etc all normally run off the main battery (with a DC-DC voltage converter), rather than running it off the 12V: Since EVs don't have an alternator to keep the 12V system charged, you have to use the main battery anyway to charge the...

Purpose of the 2 Low Voltage 12v Batteries?

Teslas have 12V batteries too (well, except for the first year or so of the original Roadster). Not sure exactly why, though I've read speculation that if the main DC battery system needs to be shut down, the hazard lights can still operate, and as @copper suggests, in case the main battery...

    stiff steering

I personally share your view of the interior of the EQS and its quietness, and that actually almost tipped me to Mercedes. I ultimately went with the Lucid for a number of reasons: I had horrible experiences with Mercedes dealers. People occasionally complain here about their experience after...

Yeah, timed charging is planned for the future but they didn't have a date when I asked. They did say that they kept track of who was asking for prioritization purposes so if you have your car and want it let Customer Care know.

    Copper vs. aluminum wire

Yeah, copper is crazy expensive right now, I understand.

    Radar detectors

Thanks!! Alejandro pushed me to Thursday, and I'll probably drop it off Wednesday afternoon. But I got a picture from Chris that shows the location pretty clearly. Let me give it a try just as far to the right and front as I can, and if that doesn't work I'll IM you.

Yeah, so long as it works, I think this is clearly [sic] better.

    Radar detectors

Just heard from my Millbrae service advisor. He advised me that Lucid is now tinting the cutout area to intentionally make the cutout less obvious, but it is in the same location. He also said that there are several in Millbrae being prepped for delivery that are similar to mine. Even knowing...

    Radar detectors

Thanks @SaratogaLefty. It seemed like a good theory so I temporarily pulled off the registration sticker, but I still see nothing (photos attached). I emailed customer care yesterday and they confirmed what people have been saying here: My vehicle isn't an early vehicle or one of the first...

I must just not be seeing it then. I'm certainly not one of the early dreams. Or I got somebody else's replacement windshield. :)

    Will the Dream edition value?

... though I guess the Model S is different because it wasn't Tesla's first model. 🤷‍♂️

    Will the Dream edition value?

Understood, but my guess is it still depends on the volume of Airs that Lucid eventually produces. Tesla made the initial Model S in "Signature editions", but AFAICT they haven't held in value like the Roadsters because of the similarity with other Model S's, which are in plentiful supply...

    Radar detectors

Oh, interesting. I can't see anything on mine. I just assumed the film was invisible.

    Will the Dream edition value?

I think in part it will depend on whether a collector's market develops for these cars, and that's hard to predict. If there is a collector's market, then there will be extra value for low mileage (<10k). There's a big collector's market for Tesla Roadsters right now, but they only made about...

    Radar detectors

There's an opening in the coating (not normally visible, but Lucid has confirmed this) at the bottom right of the windshield (passenger side). Not sure if you could put both a toll transponder and a detector there; I'm not sure how big it is.
