Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

Truly fantastic news! I can't wait to try it.

Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

Really? My experience has been quite different. Maybe this has improved in a recent software update?

Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

My fix is to simply change the main display to show SOC as a %. Then if I have a destination in the Nav, the miles estimate is pretty good -- unless there is an elevation gain. Then it is driver beware.

Another bug list... are any of my one-offs being seen by others?

Ouch. Growing up, my family had a Cimarron with a vinyl roof and opera windows... ;)

Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

If you want to be pedantic, I can do that. Wind speed, tire pressure, roof racks, if the car has been washed, if the widows are rolled down, if I'm listening the The Wall at 11, whatever you want to throw at the problem, save change in elevation, is going to be resolved by the current...

Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

Before I retired, I was the program manager for a NASA spacecraft. And not only did I have an entire software team in my org, some of them work now at Lucid. I happen to know exactly what the situation is at Lucid. Not once did I say I could do it in an afternoon. I think you need to take...

Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

No. Range is a key parameter of an EV. I cut them slack when their range estimate was a linear interpolation of the EPA rating based off the batteries current state of charge. But the moment they updated a range estimate to pass off as real, I stopped cutting them slack on this item. It's...

Suggestion to make it easier to deal with variable effective range

I'm also annoyed with the guess-o-meter in the main screen. And agree the estimate while using nav is pretty good. Why the difference? Jeeze peeps. THere should only be _one_ range estimate, not two. While I'm at it, here is a short coming of the nav's guess-o-meter. It isn't topography...

    RESOLVED Locked OUT of car

Yeah, I locked myself out of my car once at a DCFC station. Phone in the car, key in the car (cupholder) and I left the door open as I went to plug in. But I didn't leave the door open _enough_ and the soft close feature took over and finished the job for me. The "push handle" to unlock would...

    Hunting wild Lucid Airs

You can come by my house in 94040.... Besides mine, I've seen two different ones on my street at different times. I've also seen them on the road in Palo Alto and the area. Definitely not like a Tesla, Taycan or Rivian though. Those are everywhere (especially Tesla).

    EA inconsistency question.

Thanks. Anywhere I can go to get more info? Interesting I haven't noticed this on my wife's I5.... I'm trying to think if the dash displays power like the Air does? Not sure now.

    EA inconsistency question.

It's possible this question has been answered, but I couldn't find it after a brief search. ON some EA stations, I'm seeing the power levels, as reported on my dash "cycling" from 50 kW to 100 kW pretty rapidly (like every 30~60 seconds). I don't see that on my wife's Ioniq 5 on the same DCFC...

Kia EV9 Review (Out of Spec)

It is not sexy, but I think it is better looking than the R1S. For my use case, looks are not a prime factor. I think I'd rather get a Gravity, but, that's probably 2 years away....

Kia EV9 Review (Out of Spec)

I have a Ioniq5 in addition to my Air Touring. I'd replace the I5 with the EV9 in a heartbeat.

I'm Averaging 1 service appointment per month. What about you?

I got my Touring Dec 31, 2022. My only service appointment was to check the wheel rim and alignment after a pothole blew out the sidewall of a tire.

SiriusXM seemed to break internet connectivity... sorta

Speaking of CarPlay, any news & rumors for Android Auto peeps?

SiriusXM seemed to break internet connectivity... sorta

Anyone know why SiriusXM occasionally is just "unavailable?" It appears as though the app in the car can't authenticate its license. This has happened to me three times, twice in the last week. It is super annoying because I need to reenter my station presets every time. I use SiriusXM a lot...

    Profiles

I think I have solved this, at least for me. Like many, I've had the issue of the car "waking up" when I just walk by. This can happen when I have my phone in my pocket, but not the actual key (I don't have the phone as a key app enabled). My wife's key is stored in a drawer not far from...

Website for OTA Updates, Software Features Wishlist, and Bugs!

Here's a nit-noid annoyance that I think should be on the software update. When I put the car in reverse, the back-up camera view occupies the right-hand side of the glass cockpit. But the issue is, I need that panel to activate my garage door. So when I back out of my garage, I have to stop...

Awesome! I note Android Auto isn't on the wish list. Please, God. I've been good.
