Lucid Air Wins 2022 Wards 10 Best Interiors & UX trophy.

I sure hope that’s the case. It’s just not right for a car of this stature and price to have high points be so cheap. It almost makes not want the car.

Still pissed about the center console cubby. Someone shit the bed on that part.

Any Downside to Not Plugging In At Home Every Night?

Thank you. That’s very informative. If so much can be done through the car’s app and just a NEMA 14-50, why do so many have the actual charge stations?

How Old Are You In Years…Not In Attitude?

Based on current results, can one deduce this is a middle-aged man's car? 😆

    Lucid Charger

I got lazy and didn't thank you for the prior info 😆. My post was just to confirm the Ford charger's specs may be similar to that of the Lucid's in case someone like me was looking to get an 80 amp. But as you pointed out, it is lacking a fair amount of app control.

What did you sacrifice for a Lucid Air?

Still on the fence about my Pure (thank goodness it's not in prod yet) but will be sacrificing my custom configured EuroDelivery 2015 BMW 428i coupé from Munchen, Deutschland.

Any Downside to Not Plugging In At Home Every Night?

If I am understanding your comment correctly, are you suggesting I can retrofit my home's electrical panel with a NEMA 14-50 (240 volt) outlet and charge the Lucid (Air Pure) without having to purchase a separate ev charger (ie. Chargepoint)? I imagine using just the NEMA forgoes features such...

    Electrify America Home Station

I would but my local power co is giving a $800 credit for any charger install and hard to know when it’ll run dry. I can get it installed for around $1k.

    Electrify America Home Station

It sounds like I’ll just have to install whatever max amperage charger my home is setup for and go from there. If it doesn’t give me the reverse capability, then I’ll look into adding it later.

    Electrify America Home Station

If I'm in a pinch to get a charger that charges the quickest, can be mobile, has the best app, reversible to power the home, and of course to power the Pure (or future proof of other EVs), which charger should I get? A helpful member said I'll need Lucid’s charger for bi-directional charging...

    Lucid Charger

Thanks. I'm going to presume this all depends on whether the home's electrical setup is even capable of this.

    Lucid Charger

I’m about to pull the trigger on an ev charger bc I want a rebate from my local power co. Is there one that’ll sufficiently charge my pre-ordered Lucid and provide reverse power back to the house? Or do I need to install a standard (30 or 40 amp) ev charger and then switch over to the Lucid one...

I pre-ordered mine around the same time and asked the same Q. Early to somewhat-mid 2024 is not out of the question.

Thanks for the detailed reply. Hearing it’s on par with Audis really eases my mind. It’s too bad about the center console.

Can you talk more about cockpit fitment, material feel, quality versus those of MB, BMW, and Audi. I really fond of these brand’s interior so I’m trying to get an idea.
